My recent visit to Bharatiya Jalpan in Sarjapur left me with a delightful culinary experience. Here's what I loved about it:

Service: The staff at Bharatiya Jalpan was courteous and attentive. They guided us through the menu and ensured our needs were met promptly. Their knowledge and friendliness added to our enjoyment.

Cuisine: The restaurant's menu is a treasure trove of Indian culinary delights. From North Indian classics to South Indian specialties, each dish was bursting with authentic flavors. The dosas and biryanis were particularly outstanding.

​I recently visited Bharatiya Jalpan in HSR Layout for a weekday lunch and was thoroughly impressed. Opting for a quintessential North Indian experience, my dining partner and I ordered the North Indian Thali and the Punjabi Thali. As expected from a place known for its traditional fare, both thalis were excellent. The flavors were authentic, and the portions were generous, making for a truly satisfying meal. ​What came as a pleasant surprise was the Pasta Alfredo. While I had my doubts about ordering a continental dish at a restaurant specializing in Indian cuisine, I'm glad I did. The pasta was creamy, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection—a testament to the kitchen's versatility and skill. It's not often you find a place that can master two such different cuisines, but Bharatiya Jalpan does it well.

​The atmosphere was calm, likely due to it being a weekday, which I appreciated. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive.

We visited Bharatiya Jalpan for dinner in May 2022. The place is slightly crowded over the weekends and we have had to find other options due to long wait times, but this one time we managed to find a table directly. The ground floor is for self service and the first floor is for service at table. We sat at the outdoor seating in the first floor as the weather was more pleasant outside. Our waiter Mr Hemant, was very polite and helpful. He helped us with suggestions and explained the dishes too. The service was lightening fast for pav bhaji. We didnt even have time to get up to wash our hands after ordering and pav bhaji was at the table. We ordered pav bhaji, dahi Puri,chole bhature and paneer chole bhature, while all dishes were served almost instantly, chole bhature did take quite some time. The quantity of chole bhature was good but the Pav Bhaji quantity was disappointing. We had to order another chole kulche as the pav bhaji was too less. We tried the Kulhad tea which was quite nice.
