I recently had the pleasure of visiting BLR Brewing Co. in Whitefield, Bangalore, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. As I stepped inside, I was immediately struck by the spacious and pleasant atmosphere. The 65,000-square-foot space is a marvel, featuring a 45-foot indoor waterfall, picturesque stone bridge, and elegant open-air tables that make it an ideal spot for group outings, birthday celebrations, or family gatherings. The ambiance is relaxed and inviting, with a cozy bar area and comfortable seating that makes you feel right at home. I was excited to explore the menu, which is a smorgasbord of flavors, cuisines, and cooking techniques. From inventive takes on South Indian classics to North Indian comfort fare and pan-Asian stalwarts, there's something for everyone. I was particularly impressed by the standout dishes, including the Puliyogare Chicken Tikka, which infuses the flavors of the eponymous comfort rice creation into succulent chicken, with hung curd tying it all together and a hit of smoke from the tandoor. The Chilli Oil Chicken Dumplings were little pockets of flavor with enough zing to get my taste buds tingling, while the Dragon Chicken, Crispy Spinach was a textural delight with bold flavors.
The Thai Green Curry was another highlight, a hearty creation that's aromatic, creamy, and zingy, with vegetables bringing in some bite. And let's not forget the craft beers, including the IPA, APA, and Dunkelweizen, which are all perfectly brewed and pair well with the menu offerings.
The service at BLR Brewing Co. was exceptional, with friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive staff who took great care of our needs. Our server, Jagannath, was particularly impressive, providing fast service and ensuring that we had everything we needed. Jenri Pujen, our table manager, was also polite and professional, making sure that our experience was nothing short of excellent.
Overall, my experience at BLR Brewing Co. was exceptional, with great food, drinks, and ambiance. The brewpub's unique features, such as the indoor waterfall and picturesque stone bridge, make it an Instagram-worthy spot, and with its extensive menu and creative cocktails, it's a great destination for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great spot to hang out with friends or family.
If you're planning to visit, I would recommend making reservations, especially during peak hours or weekends. And don't miss the Chikmagalur cocktail, a delicious coffee-orange-hazelnut number that pays homage to one of India's most popular plantation destinations. The Tiramisu, Coffee Crumble is also a must-try, with its perfect balance of freshness and indulgence and silken goodness that demands being mopped up with the focaccia slice it's served with.
With a rating of 8.2/10, BLR Brewing Co. is definitely worth a visit. Whether you're a foodie, a beer enthusiast, or just looking for a great spot to hang out, this brewpub has something for everyone. So why not give it a try and experience it...
Read moreVisited BLR yesterday 25.07.2025 evening, to have a family time for my daughter's 3rd birthday. Unfortunately what was supposed to be a pleasant family evening dinner turned out extremely unpleasant. Reservation: Booked a table for 8:30 pm at BLR, reached there at 8:20 pm. We wanted to try Hamilton but they had less veg options - fair enough! So we shifted to BLR back. But getting a table was a nightmare. We had to follow up constantly and finally after 40 mins we got a table on 1st floor approx 9.15 pm. Service of Staff: No one actually attended our table no 103 with proper care. Asked for regular water, but we received water only at the end of our order that too after asking loudly. No cutlery and had to wait at the mercy of staff. No condiments for pizza, asked repeatedly and a lady came and dumped two containers out of which chilli flakes container was empty. We asked another staff to replace it, he got one and that lady came back and took it again saying loudly "I already gave this table, why are you again putting two more here?" Seriously, this is how your staff behaves with customers?? Food: Ordered Alfredo pasta for my kid, they put a plate of red sauce pasta. I asked them to get the correct order and two male staffers were busy trying to convince us saying that "This is Alfredo pasta, by default it comes in red sauce. You should have selected white sauce" Later the other staff in black tshirt came and apologized for wrong order and took back. Nice service BLR!!! 4: Billing: Had loyalty points and showed the staff. He tries to convince me that it is not applicable and I must visit one more time. Plus I should show him bill from last visit to claim it. I told home to use my phone number and check for last visit record. I did not generate these BLR loyalty points messages on WhatsApp. So much misinformation and distrust in customers! Finally after making payment also, staff is so disoriented that he doesn't even bother to return my card. Had to shout and take it back. 5: Valet park: We were already half way back home, their parking guy calls saying that - car has come now, and we should collect it. Really?? Whose car is that supposed to be. We already got our car. This only proves how well the valet guys are actually responsible enough to take care of customers cars.
I do not want to comment further. With such pathetic service and experience, my 3rd visit at BLR chain comes to an end forever. Thanks for spoiling our happy evening mood!! You can check your staff behaviour in Cctv at 103 table and verify for yourself. No amount of ambience can compensate for the horrible...
Read moreThe ambience is beautiful and welcoming. However the food, staff, service nothing is upto the mark for what you are paying. I visited with a friend and at first they offered a table which had opening on the one side but it was closed because they thought it might rain! And there was no fan either where our table was put on the corridor. We asked for a portable fan as it was getting hot without any AC. and they said the fan can’t faced to our table. Hence we had to change the table. After our order came in.
Food was not up to the mark. We ordered cantonese chicken which was actually garlic chicken which you get in cheap indi chinese restaurant. The plating was also not good for the price they charge. We also ordered puliogre chicken which we had high expectation on. But that just turned out to he chicken with tamarind paste which was grilled. Then we straight away moved to desserts. We ordered carrot halwa which was mostly freshly made as it took some time and was super hot.
The cocktails were also too less in quantity as they filled the whole glass with a huge brick of ice. Only beer is good here.
Music was too high and we couldn’t talk to each other. Fire show was good which repeated once every hour on a saturday night.
They didn’t forget to charge a 10% service charge for the pathetic service they provided and the food , experience and alcohol was a sham for the premium price they charge with no ac nor fan!
And their washroom is tiny and super suffocating when more than 5 people want to go use the washroom. A plus sized woman can hardly get inside the washroom booth! Also nobody maintained the washroom being so busy on a weekend. It was worser than a public toilet.
Conclusion- super pricey, no customer service , pathetic cocktails and food. Come here for the ambience and beer and if you don’t want to talk to your friends or partner on a...
