Café Coffee Day — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Very unpleasant visit. I just walked in and I wanted to check if there was any place free at the smoking zone and the person behind the counter has no idea about customer service. He straight up says “order madi” with a disgusting attitude. No hello no hi nothing. Like it was really unpleasant and I tell him yes I will just let me see if there is a table free first. He says no order. Is this the standard of Bangalore ccd? I am also a barista and I never spoken to a customer like this. It was around 7:30 pm on 4th April 2025. I tell him fine, I will have a bottle of water and cookies. He says no, you need to order coffee or else I am not allowing you to sit. This is how ccd trains its employees to treat customers? Force coffee down their throats before they even settle down? His name starts with “B” I don’t remember the full name. I have been to other branches and I have never been treated this way. Dear Owner, this is one of the worst managed coffee day's of Bangalore. The location is beautiful but the staff is pathetic. All the staff there are least bothered about work. There seems to be no manager. All the ladies working there speak so loudly even while customers are there, that irritates everyone. Inspite of complaining, they don't bother to speak softly. The ladies there speak inly about their boyfriends, harrasement topics etc everyday. I have obeserved this for more than 5-6 times.

They don't bill few orders through UPI and say that they can't bill small amount and there might be some transactions for which they don't issue bil which can be bad for the business. There is no one to even look after the Cafe. The cafe stinks inside due to non maintenance, wash rooms are not cleaned and no ventilation inside.

Insipid coffee, unconcerned staff (almost to the point of not caring two hoots), roadworks outside (not an issue with the place), make this an entirely avoidable place unless you have a meeting that you would like a venue for. The staff were sitting on the customer seats, and one of them had his legs over the side of the sofa while watching his mobile while I wanted to pay. I was looking behind the counter when this guy lazily sauntered to the cash counter from behind me. Looks like staff that is not paid. He was not mean or anything, just not bothered. Would have been 1 star if not for the fact that I had a 15 minute meeting there, and that definitely deserves a star for the organisation making such spaces so accessible and available...
