Cafe Palmyra — Restaurant in Bengaluru

I heard my colleague say that food was really good at this place so I took my friends there today. We were a group of 5. We ordered breakfast which consisted of eggs, bacon/sausage, veggies & hash browns. We requested for 2 scrambled eggs with bacon, 2 scrambled eggs with chicken sausage and 1 sunny side up with chicken sausages. The table wasn't clean so we asked them to clean it and they said take a different table and the other table wasn't cleaned as well so we pointed it out to them and they got it cleaned.

They 1st got 3 scrambled eggs with chicken sausages 1 scrambled eggs with bacon. So we told them that the order is wrong as we had asked for 2 bacons. So they said they will get the bacon. After 5 minutes they got the order for sunny side up without bacon or sausages. And we realised that there were no hash browns in any of the plates. So we again asked them about not having sausages on the plate so they kinda said that you take the sausages from the other plate as they had given it by mistake! 😂😂 I couldn't believe he was suggesting that so I asked him is that what he has suggested and suddenly he might have realised that it wasn't a good thing to suggest and they said they will get the sausages that were missing on the plate. The sunny side up eggs had some blackish liquid on them and also it was too runny. So we asked them what was happening. They said they will change it. And finally after 30 minutes of everyone starting having the breakfast, the last person received the breakfast. The bacon was just like rubber sheets! It was too thick and chewy. And they got the hash browns which were double deep fried and hard!

By then we were tired of all the things that was happening and we dint eat the bacon and hash browns, we just paid the bill and left!

I had called Palm meadows few days ago for a corporate event for around 70 folks for an overnight stay and conference but they were full! After this experience I am not going to consider Palm meadows for any of the events!

Food tasted very normal! It wasn't worth the price. The bill was Rs. 3252 for 5 of us.

It was a mystery place for us until one my friend strongly recommend this one. Checking their Zomato rating further corroborated this. The place is in the far end of Whitefield and Google maps also doesn't support much which is a major roadblock. However the moment you enter it, you are mesmerized with the beauty of this place. It's quite amazing and pleasing for a Sunday brunch. Although we didn't plan for the brunch but the spread was so tempting that we couldn't control and finally opted for it. Coming to food we enjoyed to the core with few exceptions. Salads, breads, desserts, live Chinese counter and counter for paneer and Indian breads was simply amazing. One major disappointment was pasta counter as not only it tasted bad but due to water like gravy it apperard even worse. Also few items were cold and could have been better. Lastly the area which they need to polish is their service. Even when we came after our 3rd round, plates from previous rounds was kept as it is. Overall...

First thing first.. Location of Cafe Palmyra: Located in midst of Whitefield(which gives an idea of crowd, loudness and modern) but let me tell you this place is in Palm Meadows club house with utmost tranquility and lavish european style bunglows with a pool side option too.

We started with cocktails, mocktails and drinks which was on average side. Appetizers were amazingly tasty though. We tried fish, chicken, vegiterian and all were delicious.

Main course was disheartening. Roti basket was worst I had anywere. Biryani too was below average. Roghan Jose was below average again and no where near the recepie. Of our 7 people group none of us liked main course.

Service was little slow and quantity is lesser. Experience can be better in terms of food as with respect to ambience and locale it is already 5/5.
