We regularly visit this place and are used to poor management skills of theirs . . But last night(seated in 3rd floor ) things were horribly wrong. We ordered beer battered onion rings which we were clearly told would have flavour of beer ! When served we realised it was overly fried and didnt have any flavour. We called the illiterate manager on 3rd floor ( who claims to be new and states he doesn't talk to kitchen manager ), he goes and calls another manager Mr.Shekar ( the most unprofessional person I've ever met ) We clearly told him after having one piece, the issue. We insisted that we be replaced with new one and we don't want to cancel the order. He shamelessly kept arguing taking my item all around and went and bought the chef. The chef was looking so scared that we didn't feel like panicking him again .. we realised there is no point talking and continued. The manager in 3rd floor comes and takes a piece of onion ring from my plate without my permission and have it completely, then confirms yes it's not tasty and assures me that next time it will rectified ! We let it go and clearly told him we will put all of this in the review ! My friend posted the review about wat happened ! Shockingly the insensible and terrible management responds stating we had half of the piece and we asked to cancel it when that wasn't the truth that happened there! We were so upset with their response ! This shows y the service is so bad bcoz the managements attitude itself is so inappropriate. When an incident happens ,it is the managements duty to validate before listening to their own employees and accusing customers. We will further take this up as this kind off service shouldn't exist in this city ! Worst management and worst service ! Dear management, Please check ur CCTV to evidence all my damn claims and better apologise for wat u guys did ! U guys won't make for long if this is ur attitude ! U claim u r providing affordable drinking and dining, agree and the biggest compromise we customers do is bear ur poor service !
To the management : First of all, reviews are not an opportunity for management to correct their customers, instead its an opportunity or a feedback mechanism for the management to correct their flaws to reach optimal customer satisfaction and that's what service industry is all about ! ! So it's good if u cud think in that off before lashing out on customers ! you say that u have played the CCTV evidence and u found us rude ! Can u tell how many of us were even there ? Can u check with ur chef wat we spoke to him ? As a management u r expected to behave more responsibly . . The staff are a reflection of the management . . If u urself defend ur staff with no corrective measure, then how r u expecting to grow up the ladder though u don't wanna practice any dirty business like other bar owners ! If u had verified ur CCTV records, u wudnt have spoken this way ! U wud have found ur manager eating from my plate ! To Mr. Shekar repeatedly I told 10 times that I don't want to cancel it but I want it to be replaced bcoz this isn't the first time I'm having this item and this time it tastes different. How can u, as a management so blatantly respond without getting facts right sir ? U know never have I seen such an atrocious and arrogant response from a management when the mistake Is on their side ! There is a sense of pride when u accept ur mistake and assure not to happen it in the future ! It wud have been so respectful as a management ! Please look into most comments talking about ur service and u talk about ur staffs love for job ? Seriously sir ? I pity whoever is responding to...
Read moreBeing an usual visitor to the original chin lungs in mg road, I was eagerly looking forward when I heard about chin lungs 2.0 opening in bel road and finally went to try it out today..
Went to the place around 12 and was disappointed with the valet parking. One would know that parking around in bel road is always a big headache. On going to the place, we were were told that the people incharge of the valet parking would arrive at 1pm inspite of the place opening at 11 and we had to look around to park our car..
Coming to the place, it's a decent place, with different floors having different themes with not much space. You would find that the tables are too small are too closely placed and it's quite congested. The ambience is quiet cozy with the music being too loud, though they played a good collection of songs.
Chin lungs 2.0 however seems to carry the tradition of late service. The service is not only very slow, but they don't even know what's the offer they have. We asked for the budwiser bucket and the waiter was looking at our faces as though we had ordered something out of the menu. They aren't experienced nor trained and they lack the basic knowledge of what's in the menu or how to present themselves. They literally took 20-30 minutes to supply our order. Though they picked up little pace later, Service is a big let down.
We tried many dishes as Lemon chicken, Jalepeno cheese balls, French chicken, Garlic chicken, Chicken Tikka pizza, butter chicken pizza, peanut masala, nachos, French fries and other and Oh boy, they were damn good. Though they were little burnt edges in the pizza and slightly undercooked peanuts, the food was a hit.
One has to note that they have only one washroom and only one person can go at a time, so it's a point to consider if you are chugging down that beer.
Chin lungs = Cheap Prices!! Compared to a lot of other places out there, the prices are cheap and overall the place is pretty good with nice ambience. They have to improve a bit on food and big time on their service. Other than that, I guess it's a place to hang out and chill with your...
Read moreI’ve been visiting Ching Lung regularly – over 10 times – since I stay in the same area. Compared to other resto-bars, Ching Lung has been my go-to place for its pricing and vibe. But the repeated worst behaviour from the 3rd floor manager wearing a white shirt has completely ruined the experience.
This isn’t the first time – it's the second time I've faced the same issue. On this visit, the rooftop was full, so he asked us to check the 3rd floor. Most of the tables were empty with no reservation tags, yet he kept insisting everything was “booked.” He rudely told us we had to book 2 days in advance.
I immediately checked and booked via Zomato Dine-In, which showed tables were available. Even after showing the booking, he refused to seat us. We were a group of 6, willing to bill between ₹15K to ₹20K, and even politely requested, but were still denied entry.
Worse, others who came after us without reservations were allowed in. We even confirmed with the guests — they said they didn’t reserve. When we asked the manager for his name and contact, he gave fake details and even called the bouncer. The bouncer actually supported us and tried to reason with him, but the manager kept changing his story — first saying all tables were reserved, then suddenly saying only couples or mixed groups are allowed.
His attitude was completely unprofessional, rude, and discriminatory. We were dressed decently and followed all norms. Yet, he gave arrogant replies and deliberately declined us for no valid reason. This kind of behaviour is not acceptable, especially from someone representing a reputed place like Ching Lung.
I’ve seen multiple reviews on Google saying similar things about this person – so clearly, this is a repeated issue, not just with us.
I request the management to take strict action and share the real contact number of the manager or owner so we can escalate...
