I have lost count as to how many times I have come close to eating at this place CHINA PEARL IN KORAMANGALA, only to have plans changed or something or the other comes up, including the pandemic. I FINALLY got to visit this month after years, with a friend. It is a lovely cozy joint decorated in red with soft lights as with all Chinese restaurants. I usually stick to the tried and tested and much loved chilly garlic noodles and decided to experiment with new dishes instead like the following: STARTERS Shaolin Sticks: This was yummy! Fried crispy mashed vegetable sticks tossed in chilly garlic sauce. Cauliflower Fung pao – a variation of veg balls with only cauliflower instead of veggies. This was almost black and looked weird but tasted simply great – spicy and different. MAIN COURSE: Veg Lat Lo Chowmein: This is noodles already mixed in spicy veg gravy – I dint like this one (subjective). I found the noodles dunked in gravy, usually I prefer gravy dish and noodles separately. This is what happens when you try to experiment.. While it was easy to eat a large portion and i finished quite a bit, it wasn’t mind blowing enough for me to think of wanting to order again down the line or recommend to others. My friend loved it. I think I’ll stick to my chilly garlic noodles. Dessert: My friend had butterscotch ice cream and I had the coconut pannacotta with honey mango on top which was delicious! A fitting end to the meal. Service is quick. I like that nobody is breathing down your neck and they give you your space. Portions were generous. Prices were surprisingly reasonable compared to other Chinese places I’ve eaten. This gets crowded real fast so it is better to go early. Great for team meets who are into Chinese cuisine. Would I go again – my benchmark for whether a place appealed to me or not: definitely yes!! – they have a huge variety of dishes for vegetarians and I’m dying to try their other starters and dishes. Would I recommend to others: Yes again! Worth a visit. Overall rating 4/5 purely subjective rating instead of 5/5 because the main course didn’t do it for me. But don’t let this put you off. Ratings for reviews 1-No! No! No! 2-Just about average 3- Good. Can give it a try 4-Great!! 5-Yes! Yes! Yes! And I’ll tell...

China Pearl in Koramangala, Bangalore, is undeniably one of the finest Chinese restaurants in the city, and my wife and I have been loyal patrons for over a decade. What sets this restaurant apart is its consistent excellence over all these years.

First and foremost, the food here is simply outstanding. Every dish we've tried, from traditional favorites to innovative creations, has been bursting with authentic flavors. The chefs at China Pearl certainly know their craft, and the quality of the ingredients shines through in each bite.

One of the highlights of dining at China Pearl is the generous portions they offer at a reasonable price. You truly get value for your money, as the hearty servings leave you feeling satisfied and content.

The restaurant's maintenance is commendable. It's evident that the management takes great care in keeping the place clean and well-maintained. The toilets are consistently tidy and emit a pleasant fragrance, a refreshing change from some other establishments.

The attention to detail extends to the table setup, where you'll find crisp tablecloths and high-quality crockery and cutlery. Notably, China Pearl stands out for providing cloth napkins, a rare and elegant touch not often found in other Bangalore restaurants.

The staff at China Pearl are another standout feature. Always warm, friendly, and courteous, they make every visit feel like a special occasion. The head waiters are particularly knowledgeable about the menu, always ready to recommend dishes suited to individual preferences.

The ambience of the restaurant is understated and soothing. The well-regulated air conditioning ensures a comfortable dining experience, and the choice of light oriental or western classical music at the perfect volume enhances the atmosphere without intruding on conversations.

In conclusion, China Pearl is an excellent restaurant that consistently delivers on all fronts. Its delectable Chinese cuisine, generous portions, well-maintained facilities, friendly staff, and pleasant ambience make it a top-notch dining destination. Without a doubt, I highly recommend China Pearl to anyone in search of an exceptional Chinese dining experience...

There have been million times we would have passed through China Pearl in Koramangala, always wanting to try out their food, but never really stopped the car and stepped out to try. One such occasion we decided to stop and pack our dinner and reheat if necessary if the food did not end up remaining hot on our drive from Koramangala to Whitefield.

From the looks of it, China Pearl seems like a classic restaurant that has been time tested, remained for years with minimal or no change in menu with a bunch of regulars always visiting. After placing my order which I was warned will take at least 20-30 minutes, I observed large families with kids and intimate couples, and friends peacefully coexisting savouring the delicious chinese fare that this place has to offer, the service seemed impeccable with priority given more for dine-in customer order, while my order was waitlisted along with Swiggy and Zomato. That made me make a mental note to do a dine-in here soon.

I had ordered a chicken manchow soup, steamed Chicken momos, and as recommended by the staff, picked up the Fung Pao Prawn Dry and Spicy Red Pepper Chicken. The order after a few followups was neatly packed and handed over in a bag in about 40 minutes.

The Chicken Momos were super juicy hot and did not survive the drive home, as the hungry bunch devoured it with a lot of oohs and aahs about how delicious they were.

Once home the soup was heated and it was a very delicious version, slightly varied from the usual chicken manchows that we are used to, but definitely good.

The Fung Pao Prawn dry was a stunner, large prawns beautifully coated in a delicious spicy sauce, and perfectly cooked.

The Spicy Red Pepper Chicken had an aftertaste hit of dry red chilli, but was not preferred, maybe the seasoning was a bit less and off, the chicken however was cooked beautifully soft.

From what we tried, we are definitely going to be regulars, at least now we will stop for a takeaway instead of being undecided. A bit of hits and very minimal misses, I would definitely recommend China Pearl and would love to visit them soon, maybe...

My best friend was back in town after taking the biggest decision of her life..Finally deciding to settle down in life with the love of her life and this called for a special treat. She felt like having 'Chinese' and thus began the search for the best Chinese eatery in town. It also had to be a place where she had never visited before and thus we settled for 'China Pearl', which was never visited by me either. Few of my colleagues (also long timers in Bangalore) also testified the place and thus, the place was locked for dinner ! The place has a very nice ambiance, reminiscent of the signature Chinese restaurants - nice sitting with shades of reds, Chinese artifacts, mandarin scripts and paintings on the walls, dark wooden tables and chairs complementing the setting to the best. The catering staff and the management was very courteous, serving us each time with a smile on their face. The place has an elaborate menu and one is left for choice. But, we had the best person to choose the best from the best. She has never been wrong with orders and thus we knew that we were in safe hands. We started with a Veg Sweet Corn soup, followed by a serving of Veg Steamed Wantons and Hot Bean Crispy Tofu. Everything was so delectably yummy that there was a pin drop silence on the table till we finished everything that was served and mind you, the serving size are really huge. Each of these servings were good enough for three of us and we relished the flavors with lots of love. In main course, we ordered Stir Fried Vegetables, Veg Chilly Garlic Noodles and Burnt Garlic Fried Rice. These were none less than the appetizers and all of us enjoyed the food to the best extent possible. Everything was fabulously mouth-watering and yummy-licious ! I have found a place in Bangalore for an awesome Chinese delight and so can you. If you have still not visited 'China Pearl', do visit it soon. You would love it for sure !!

This restaurant is highly under rated in the sense that while it is located on a busy Koramangala street, neither my friends nor I had heard about it. Speaking of, the only complain I have about this is it's not advertised enough based on the service that is offered. I happened to stumble across this restaurant as an accident when me and my wife had 30 minutes to kill before an appointment and we were hungry. The outlook of the restaurant is extremely deceiving as the interiors transport you to place that shouts authentic china. A quick glance at the menu gives you an impression that it is expensive but the quantity provided is enough for atleast 2 persons with an average appetite. The general standard is so low that there is an assumption that a dish with mutton would contain the minimum amount required yet every single dish in their menu is overloaded(I use this term even though this should be the norm). My personal favorites are the soupy wontons and the lamb chowmein. Every single dish feels like it's enough to fill you up, yet there is a desire to try out more. Hence, I would highly recommend going in a group of 3 or 4. Speaking of, there is ample space for groups of all sizes. There is also no denying that there could be a waiting time of 30 minutes on a sunday evening, yet it's a total waste. I've had guests who've come to visit from abroad, and they're absolutely delighted by the food experience, despite being made to wait. The staff is extremely warm, kind, we'll trained and are willing to oblige to cooking requests. If the service you receive is more than what you expect, do consider leaving a generous tip as this would improve the dining experience for others as well. Tl;dr highly underrated compared to the better established gourmet Chinese food chains, cost to experience ratio is well justified, staff is accommodating, a gaurenteed amazing experience.
