I recently had the pleasure of dining at Maffei Kitchen, a beautiful restaurant specializing in Mediterranean cuisine. I must say, Maffei Kitchen truly excels in every aspect, from its food and service to its interior.
First and foremost, I want to commend the staff at Maffei Kitchen for their exceptional hospitality. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel right at home. Prasanjet was attentive, friendly, and constantly ensured our comfort and satisfaction. Their genuine care and dedication to customer service stood out and made our experience even more enjoyable.
Now, let's talk about the food. Maffei Kitchen takes great pride in serving authentic Lebanese dishes, and they certainly deliver on that promise. The flavors and quality of the food were outstanding. The hummus, in particular, was a standout. It had a delightful freshness that perfectly complemented the warm pita bread that accompanied it. Each bite was a true delight for the taste buds, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to authentic and delicious cuisine.
Another highlight of the meal was the non-vegetarian platter. The meats were incredibly succulent, cooked to perfection, and bursting with flavor. Every item on the platter demonstrated the chef's skill and attention to detail. It was evident that only the highest quality ingredients were used, resulting in a truly memorable dining experience. I also have to mention the orange juice, which was one of the best I have ever had. It was refreshing and full of natural flavors.
The pita bread deserves special recognition as well. It was unlike any I've had before, with a light and fluffy texture and a taste that was simply divine. It complemented the other dishes perfectly and was a delightful addition to the meal. I cannot emphasize enough how much I enjoyed savoring every bite of that exceptional pita bread.
Furthermore, the interior of Maffei Kitchen enhanced the overall dining experience. The ambiance was warm, inviting, and tastefully decorated. The attention to detail in the decor created an atmosphere that was both cozy and elegant. Whether you're seeking a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends and family, Maffei Kitchen provides the perfect setting to enjoy a memorable meal.
In conclusion, my experience at Maffei Kitchen was nothing short of fantastic. The attentive and friendly staff, the authentic and delicious Lebanese cuisine, and the beautiful interior all contributed to an unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable meal filled with...
Read moreWe booked this place in advance for a saturday lunch for 3 people for 1.30pm. We arrived on time and there were many seats available. So we chose to sit upstairs which had better ambience in my opinion .
Parking - free valet parking available.
Ambience - middle eastern ambience with good lightings and clean washrooms.
Service- We asked for regular filter water and it was provided as they have only Himalayan water bottles which are of high price. Waiters knew the menu and would help us understand what the item is. And once we asked if we can cancel an item, so he ran to check in the kitchen whether the preparation has started instead of saying it right on the face.
Food - We placed order for chicken in skewer called kebab dajaj skewer. We had high expectations on this and expected some Mediterranean spices in it. But it was okayish. Comes with pickles and a dip with grilled tomato. Baba ghanoush ( an eggplant dish ) was served little bit chilled as how it should be and tasted amazing .. better than our Indian baingan bharta! Pita bread was the best here. We had just ordered 1 to go with baba ghanoush and we ordered 3 more later to eat with all the gravy and dip from other items. A fish preparation with some tomato gravy on top of it was fantastic too. Totally forgot what the name was. Fish was fresh and The gravy was tasting very well with pita bread. We asked what fish was it and the answer was queen fish. But it definitely felt like king fish or seer fish. Slice was big. We then ordered lamhe (pronounced as lamb) majouqa - minced lamb patties filled with cheese , onion and mushroom. This was heavy but again the expectation of lamb was too high and it didnt meet our expectations. But it was good. Again it comes with pickle and dip on the side. Dip is same for all the plates served. Good part is that they served us a plate of cracker and a dip on the house. We were so full with these and had no room for dessert so we had not tried any here.
Beer and wine selection is available.
The bill was around 2500 for 3 and we had some 15% discount through zomato booking. Since the service was really good we paid the service...
Read moreNot exaggerating, but a genuine review. The place is one of the very few authentic Mediterranean restaurants in Bangalore . We visited on Friday evening for dinner and had all vegetarian meal with some dietary restrictions added based on our family’s needs !
Quantity: of food is very good easily the dips can be shared by 3 + adults , falafels are big and thik yet cooked to perfection and 2 peices itself filling !
Quality : of food is very good as you can feel the texture and taste of the ingredients , lots of pine nuts and pomegranate (fresh ones) and crisp lettuce in salad which in most places would be pre-made and soggy !
Taste : is just so perfect ,spiced in moderation , blended to perfection not too granular or too mushed up
Freshness : All food served were at perfect temperature infact even the Pita breads were hot ! Very rare to find . Falafel was perfectly crisp. The starters came with a nice shredded lettuce and some dips that was wonderful and filling too ! Even Khunafa was freshly made !
Ambience : is chill yet sophisticated , has a mezzanine floor which is quiet and ground floor which has live kitchen visible and easily accessible for elderly
Staff : is courteous and helped us choose the dishes based on our taste and appetite and did not over order ! Even celebrated a birthday with a free cake ! Which was unbelievably chocolaty and guiiy ! Was the highlight of the evening .
The chef himself came to speak to us hearing our dietary needs and explained to us what can be choosen and what is best taken with what and how he prepares his dishes !
Parking and visibility - this is situated on the main road , easy to find and have valet parking
8.Last but not the least Pricing - all dishes are priced like they would be at any proper fine dine Restaurant but the quantity is really good for the pricing ! Would recommend this place for group dinners as it would be super cost effective !
