On our table today, we enjoyed a selection of mouthwatering dishes that showcased the rich flavors and culinary traditions of Turkey:
Pide-chicken (pronounced as Pea-Ddae): This dish features tender, marinated chicken cooked to perfection and served on a warm, fluffy pita. The combination of spices and herbs creates a symphony of flavors that is both comforting and satisfying.
Adana Kebap: A classic Turkish dish, The result is a smoky, juicy kebab that is bursting with flavor.
Turkish Tea: No meal at Kebapci would be complete without a cup of traditional Turkish tea. Served in elegant tulip-shaped glasses, the tea is strong and aromatic, providing a perfect complement to the rich flavors of the meal.
Cihan Kebap : This dish features a cheese-stuffed, oozing chicken kebab that is grilled to perfection.
*Galata Cheesecake: To finish off our meal, we indulged in the Galata Cheesecake, a decadent caramel cheesecake drizzled with rich chocolate syrup. The creamy texture and sweet, buttery flavor of the cheesecake make it a perfect ending to a delightful dining experience.

Read moreWhile I would love to travel to Middle East to try out lip smacking food but with current pandemic all our hopes and desires can't be fulfilled. However, I recently found Kebapci during my visit to Bangalore where I could try some authentic Middle Eastern cuisine.
The menu boasted of BBQ, Turkish, Lebanese, Middle East and even Indian cuisine too. We were lucky to be there in Bangalore on time as the Bangalore outlet has opened only a few months ago. South India has been enjoying flavours of Kebapchi though the outlet in Chennai.
As we entered the place, not for a second did we feel we are not in Middle East. A look around and you would see colourful Turkish lamps hanging from the ceiling giving a beautiful feel. Infact, the ambience, music and decor is all inspired from Middle East. They have a huge variety of kebaps- most of which you wouldn't have heard if you don't follow Middle Eastern cuisine.
We started with Gazia Kebap, an Eastern Turkey delicacy consisting of flavoured minced mutton flat sheekh. A great start- we loved the flavours of this one! Next we tried Cihan Kebap- ground meat infused with 2 types of cheese. This dish is a MUST TRY here. Absolutely loved it- the combination of meat & cheese worked wonders. We also tried Biber Wings and Sis Kebap (Chicken)- both of them were delicious and well cooked.
Most of the materials and ingredients here, including spices are being imported straight from Turkey.
In main course, we tried Tavouk Platter- flavoured rice platter with chicken chunks, salad and their secret sauce. This dish again is a MUST TRY for chicken lovers- its super yum! We also tried Lahmacun- a super thin crispy Turkish pizza with minced chicken, peppers, tomato, fresh herbs and spices.
Time for desserts and we chose Kunafa, a traditional Middle Eastern dessert made of semolina and filled with white cheese, served with sugar syrup. Super crunchy and super delicious, this dish was the perfect end to our meal.
Overall it's an amazing place for authentic Turkish cuisine. We loved our experience and everything that we tried here. We'll definitely visit again to try more of their kebaps. It's a paradise for...

Turkish cuisine is a rich amalgamation of Ottoman cuisine and has a major influence of Mediterranean, Middle eastern, Central Asian and Balkan cuisines.
It is healthy (as many have a different notion around it) It focuses mainly on fresh produce - veggies, meat and is highly nutritious.
Having said that you might wonder why am I sharing details about this cuisine so much.
In Bengaluru we have dearth of such rare cuisines and places focusing mainly on such intrinsic delicacies.
