A decent place for typical Indian-Chinese cuisine. The place is clean and the service is pretty good. Nothing to complain about or write home about. The price may seem a little expensive on the menu, but mind you the quantity will take you by surprise. The portions are so big, 2 people can easily share 1 dish. You may think you eat a lot and want to order 1 dish only for yourself, no don't make the mistake. The portion is quite big even for a "can eat a whole elephant" type of person. I used to go to this place often during my younger days, so am a little biased. But if you think you should try this place, please do. It's a small local business. Support them while you can. Very old fashioned Desi Chinese. I personally really like this type of restaurant but these days it's definitely behind the curve, and especially younger people who don't have nostalgia for the 80s and early 90s style of "Chinese" may not like it so much. I wish I'd taken photos but basically, every cliche, from the painted walls to the lacquered ceiling to the bamboo screen were firmly in place.

The food itself is not bad -- we had some fried rice, a garlic chicken, and a dry chili chicken -- and the quality was fine. It wasn't oily, and the spice levels were only slightly high. Could it have been better? Sure, but then, it wouldn't be as authentic to nostalgia.

Disappointing Experience

I recently ordered from Chungs Pavilion and was very disappointed with the quality of food. The fried rice was overcooked, sticky, and had a horrible taste. It was far from what I expected from this restaurant. I hope they improve their quality and attention to detail, as this experience was a letdown. Would not recommend anybody based on my recent worst experience.

When i spoke to them about the quality of food, the cashier replies to me that his manager asked him to tell me that the mistake had happened but they said me a discount would be offered for my next order.

The manager didn't even have the courtesy to call and speak.
