I had an absolutely terrible experience at this OYO, which I believe is directly managed by the company. The issues started right from check-in, with the receptionist displaying a shocking lack of professionalism. She was unwelcoming, outright rude, and completely unhelpful. If this OYO were to shut down, I would hold her solely responsible.
We had booked a room for three—two males and one female—as we were traveling through Bangalore and needed a place for the night. However, our check-in was abruptly denied, with the receptionist stating that OYO does not allow a 2M 1F or vice versa arrangement and that we needed to book two separate rooms. I carefully reviewed OYO’s policies and found no mention of such a restriction. While we might have accepted the rule had it been explained calmly, the receptionist’s hostile attitude made the situation even worse. Ultimately, we had to ask our female friend to stay elsewhere just to resolve the issue.
The disappointment didn’t end there. The room itself was in a deplorable state—smelly, with stained bedsheets. But what happened next was beyond unacceptable. The bathroom door got jammed, leaving us unable to use it for our entire stay. When we requested another room, our request was denied, and we were instead directed to a small, inconvenient washroom on the ground floor. After repeated complaints, we were finally given another room—only to find that the bathroom had not been cleaned after the previous guests checked out.
This experience has completely shattered my trust in OYO. If this is the standard of a property directly managed by the company, I can’t imagine how poorly maintained the rest of the OYOs must be. Service Delays: My wife arrived around 9 PM, and the room was in such poor condition that they had to request a change. The manager showed them three other rooms, none of which were much better. Due to the late hour and exhaustion, they reluctantly settled for one, despite it not being up to standard.||4. Unprofessional Staff: The staff's behavior was unprofessional. My wife had to wait for sheets to be changed while the staff went to dinner. The lone receptionist was more interested in watching reels on her phone than assisting them.||5. OYO Support Issues: Despite several calls with OYO support and the property manager, nothing was resolved that night. They promised a better room the next day, but after a long journey and a stressful night, it was little comfort.||6. I booked my room after 12AM so by default the check in date was set to that day itself and I reached there by 2AM the receptionist denied check in stating that the check in time is 11AM and also denied early check in.
