I recently had the pleasure of dining at Citrus, the restaurant located within the exquisite Leela hotel. From the moment I stepped foot into this establishment, I was captivated by its stunning ambience and spacious interior.
The beautiful décor and tasteful design elements create a sense of elegance that is truly unmatched. The restaurant's large, open space not only allows for a comfortable dining experience but also makes it especially suitable for families. I was pleased to see that Citrus is very kid-friendly, with plenty of room for little ones to move around without disturbing the other patrons.
One of the highlights of my visit was the delightful buffet option available at Citrus. The variety of dishes on offer was astounding, and every bite was a delight for the taste buds. However, it is important to note that the buffet service closes at 10:30 pm, so it's essential to plan accordingly. For those who prefer ordering à la carte, the restaurant takes orders until 11:30 pm, providing ample time to savor a delicious meal. Beyond the incredible cuisine, what sets Citrus apart is the beautiful and calm atmosphere. The soft lighting, soothing music, and elegant décor all work together to create a serene dining environment. This, combined with the spacious interiors, makes Citrus an ideal location for a relaxing evening with loved ones. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Citrus goes the extra mile to make birthday celebrations even more special. Upon making a reservation for a birthday celebration, the restaurant offers a complimentary cake, which is a thoughtful gesture that adds to the overall experience of dining at Citrus. Additionally, I must mention the wonderful photo opportunities available at Citrus. The restaurant's beautiful ambience and spaciousness provide a picturesque backdrop for capturing precious moments with family and loved ones. I cherished the opportunity to capture those special moments while creating beautiful memories. All in all, my experience at Citrus in Leela was top-notch. From the stunning ambience and spacious interiors to the delicious food and impeccable service, every element of the dining experience exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Citrus to anyone looking for a truly enjoyable and memorable dining experience with...
Read moreAt the outset wouldn't recommend this restaurant as the attitude and service is very poor. Doesn't have basic etiquette of service .Being 5 star hotel for buffet you offer bread and soup at the table and you follow up for any drinks . There is nothing and service level is pathetic whether clearing the plates or getting items ordered
Had reserved a table for 8 of us buffet lunch and a kid on the wednesday 30th March for seating out side at 12 .30 in the afternoon for celebration of my wife and son in law birth day We entered the hotel which has a excellent ambience. The day was very hot and sunny day . At the entrance the lady enquired about our reservation and took us to the table we had reserved. It was right under the sun and not enough umbrella and one fan which didn't even reach for more than couple of person. When we said too hot to sit outside the lady was very curt and said this is what we have booked . We suggested an alternate place ( she didn't even offer ) under the shade of the open big space with roof on top she just left. We asked another person who was reluctant and finally agreed to give the place and made table for us ( there were people barring us and one more couple at that point and till 2.30 pm) After we settled no one came to inform us what is the soup or the appetizer they could serve on the table. I didn't want to have a disappointment for my guests and told them to start our lunch . At last one person came and some ice cold soda with salt were ordered pat came a reply it is chargeable, we said fine and we need to keep remaining them as it came after 30 minutes. We ordered egg omelets for the kid with cheese and it took more than half an hour despite several follow ups . Coming to the food excellent spread and each and every dishes were class apart . We really enjoyed the food and I would give a good rating May be steward came to the next table ( foreigners) and has been enquired about food and services but none came , may be because we are Indians and we don't stand high in their eyes Conclusion food is good hospitality is abusive and...
Read moreLeela palace is absolutely beautiful and it has the regal feel of a palace. It's easy to find, Valet parking is available, and it's incredibly spacious. Citrus is a very intimate place to Dine if you dine outside;however, dining in the inside is better with a larger number of people. There is live music which adds to the ambience beautifully. The servers are great as well and are very respectful.
Now to the important part. The Food.
We ordered a Salmon appetizer, Quinoa salad, Norwegian Salmon and Red Wine Sangrias.
Salmon Appetizer - Finely sliced Salmon was served with lettuce, cheese and other veggies on a crisp flat bread. It was amazing as it looked. The salmon and cheese went well together. Would highly recommend if you like fish.
Quinoa Salad - (In my friends words) It was pleasantly different from my expectation of the mundane salads that we're so accustomed to getting all over Bangalore.
The dressing provided a great zest; but just the right balance of it so as to allow the earthiness of the quinoa to flow out!
The chicken was done perfectly, to the point that it crumbled as soon as it entered your palate- delicious!
I would say a definite must try for all the health conscious individuals out there!! Loved it!
Norwegian Salmon- It took a little bit of time to make, but well worth the wait. The salmon was fresh, and the combination of the salmon, sauce and green olives was divine. It brought out a different taste and it was something I've never had before.
Sangrias- Usually when I order a sangria, the red wine is overbearing, but this was not one of those times. The wine was perfectly infused with the fruit inside. I liked it so much that I ordered another one. The fruits inside are slices of apples, orange and peaches. It's definitely a good choice for those who like wine that isn't so pungent.
Overall, it was a great experience. It felt great eating healthy and fresh food. The bill was a little more than 6k, so more on the expensive side, but definitely coming here again in the...
