This is the review for restaurant next to Leela palace. A mediocre south Indian place with substandard food and substandard hygiene.
I will begin with the coffee first, water added in milk, you can taste as well as see the watery consistency when the coffee is handed over to you.
The rava masala dosa is crispy as hell, as though I'm inserting a crisp cardboard in my mouth. Next, which south Indian restaurant doesn't serve red chutney!!??Their sambar is spicy as hell, I always end up suffering with a bout of gastritis even though I don't have it.
Hygiene is a big issue here, the staff are handing the vadas( fried spicy batter fritters) and salad( cucumber and onion sliced lol) unhygienicaly without gloves. If you see the pictures I posted, a rat raced through my legs and under the coffee section, up the pipes to the side of the wall and disappeared in BROAD day light ! These guys keep fried boondi and desserts and other food items on the shelf just over the counter and I can only assume and imagine the rats are having a scrumptious meal.
All in all, a place that will be rarely considered even when I run...
Read moreWhen COVID count is jumping everywhere, the staff of this eatery openly flouts the norms. The cleaner does not wear mask, if asked to wear mask, he refuses. The most shocking part is the cashier where almost every one ordering has to collect tokens from at close proximity simply refuses to wear mask and says he does not believe in Covid and it is all a conspiracy. Tennis players are being deported because of such attitude, and here in Bengaluru, anything goes. The most shocking thing is that this place is frequented by cops. No wonder Bengaluru will see a huge spike in cases if peoples attitude does not change. This weekend lockdown will all be useless if this is the attitude of people. Cops should ask him to wear a mask as the least...
Read moreI wish there would be an option for negative ratings then I would have given the most. This place is a nightmare wherein the owner is stubborn and treats customers very badly. He discriminates people on the Basis of their origin and language. Food here is totally unhygienic wherein I found them putting even those roti on the plate which had fallen to the ground. To others their dal got flies inside which while coming on your plate usually gets removed. Rest half baked rotis or denying filling their vegetable bowls in thali well is either unanswered rudely or just ignored. Strongly suggest A BIG NO for this place and request the relevant authorities to please do a quality check there and dont play with...
