As a devoted Conçu customer since 2018, when they operated solely in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills and Film Nagar, I was thrilled to discover their expansion to Indiranagar, Bengaluru. Having visited over 20 times, I continue to admire their exceptional food and beverage quality and presentation. 
During my visits to Conçu’s Indiranagar location, I’ve observed that the staff’s engagement doesn’t quite match the vibrancy experienced at their Hyderabad outlets. While I understand that comparing different cities and their unique atmospheres may not be entirely fair, this has been my consistent observation. With each visit, these differences in service and staff attitude have become more apparent. Allow me to elaborate on a recent experience that highlights these concerns.
During my 21st visit to Conçu’s Indiranagar outlet, I arrived at 2:45 PM with three colleagues. We ordered beverages totaling ₹722; they departed at 4:05 PM, and I remained, attending a virtual meeting from 4:30 to 4:45 PM. While I was on the call, a staff member interrupted to ask if I was awaiting someone or wished to order more. I informed him I was in a meeting, and he left. Afterwards, I purchased desserts worth ₹650 and inquired at the counter about seating policies. I was informed of a two-hour seating limit and a restriction against conducting work or meetings on the premises.
Fair points—duly noted. I respect that every brand has its own way of working (WOW). However, where are these rules communicated? Is there any visible signage or notice for customers? How are guests supposed to know about these unique policies? I noticed several others using laptops or on calls—do staff approach all of them similarly, or was I just the “lucky” one singled out?
I’m not here to offer business advice, but I’d like to share a few thoughts: You’ve opened your outlet in one of the most competitive areas, so it’s important not to lose loyal, repeat customers due to what may come across as strategic or unintentional arrogance. If you’ve invested in two floors, consider utilizing both effectively or at least managing guest flow with clarity and respect. Closing one floor and asking seated customers to leave without any prior communication doesn’t reflect well—it feels less like strategy and more like self-sabotage. Concu is popular because it’s busy—but how do we define “busy”? A full house should be a sign of success, not stress. If customers leave feeling uncomfortable or frustrated, they may eventually opt for takeaway or avoid visiting altogether.

Stepping into Conçu feels like entering a clean, minimal European Nordic haven. The ambiance is thoughtfully designed, creating a soothing atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience. However, my only suggestion would be to provide more outdoor seating; the current limited space doesn’t fully capture the potential of enjoying Bangalore’s pleasant weather.
The service at Conçu is on par with what you would expect from a place of this caliber—efficient and accommodating. While there’s nothing that particularly stands out, there are certainly no complaints to be had.
