They are jÜST cheating people by claiming to be a 4 star hotel. It’s not any better than an OYO room. Horrors faced by me:
Entire hotel is absolutely filthy. Dust and grime covering everything. Spit on the walls.
Rooms smell like cleaning fluid and dirt.
Bathrooms are filthy and smell of fecal matter.
They don’t know which rooms are occupied or free. They basically walk up to each room and knock and see if anyone answers. That’s how they know the room is free for another guest. It’s funny at best and little disturbing at worst, if you think about the things that can go wrong.
The white bed linen is a dirty brown.
Seeing all the above, can someone explain how they got a four star rating? They charged me ₹6000 for a double occupancy. I can stay in a clean room in Holiday Inn for that price.
Whoever gives out these ratings needs to be sued as well. They probably accepted a bribe or they don’t understand their work very well. They have facilitated this kind of cheating.
When I went down to complain and asked for a refund they give out the standard scam response of “please call the agent app” (in this case MakeMyTrip). I agree that this is also a quality control issue on the part of MMT, but this hotel is absolutely predatory to charge ₹6000 for a filthy room claiming it’s a four star hotel. This hotel had the potential to be a good stay, but it fell short of expectations. While the location is fantastic - quiet just behind the main road with easy access to cabs and a variety of restaurants and shops nearby - the overall experience felt closer to a 3-star hotel than the advertised 4-star rating.
The rooms themselves are spacious and a good size for the price. However, a refresh is sorely needed. The furniture and decor felt dated, and the bathroom, while clean, had a slightly shabby feel. Unfortunately, the room window lock was broken, and it took three requests to room service before they were able to provide a temporary fix.
Room service itself was otherwise good, but the air conditioning was another point of disappointment. Even with the thermostat set to a chilly 16 degrees, the airflow was minimal, making the room uncomfortably warm at times.
The complimentary breakfast was another area lacking. Options were very limited, and service was slow. It felt like you had to specifically request items to be brought out, rather than having a buffet or readily available selections.
Overall, this hotel is a decent option for budget-minded travelers who prioritize location and convenience over luxurious amenities. However, those expecting a true 4-star experience may be...
