Cool Corner, as the name indicates, is the happening fast-food joint for all ages.

Our kids have grown up biting into the plain and masala dosa with a dollop of ghee.

It's aki roti and rava dosa are also worth a try. Apart from the Bisibele bath. But it does not offer idli and sambar for any of its dishes, but one can get the same from the next-door neighbour, with whom the joint has a clear understanding.

One can never miss the coffee that it has to offer. The aroma of the chicory in the steaming mug activates the senses to savour your taste and smell buds. It's a must-sip every morning for all coffee lovers, and at a very affordable price for the quantity it has to offer.

The evenings are filled with its signature ice creams in Gudbud, golden cherry, and Sweet Lime Water or soda.

But there is no sitting inside the hotel. The management needs to be appreciated for the development of the footpath by laying the surrounding of the tree with beautifully and neatly laid stone on which one can sit and enjoy the offerings over an animated chat.

Cool Corner in V.V. Puram has been my go-to spot since childhood, and it continues to be one of the best places for South Indian food, especially their Masala Dosa, which, in my opinion, is the finest I’ve had. Served with two chutneys and a flavorful sagu, the dosa is consistently crispy and perfectly spiced, though the chutneys tend to range between spicy and extremely spicy. Apart from their exceptional dosas, they also offer a good variety of sandwiches and shakes, making it a great spot for both traditional and quick bites.

One of the standout aspects of this place is its very quick service, ensuring that you get your food fresh and hot in no time. However, during peak hours, especially in the evenings or weekends, you might have to wait for about 5-10 minutes due to the high demand. The ambiance is simple yet nostalgic, adding to its charm, and the pricing is quite reasonable for the quality they offer.

Whether you're craving dosa, sandwiches, chaats, or shakes this spot delivers on variety and taste. Their Masala Dosa is a standout — crispy, perfectly spiced, and served with two chutneys (red and white) plus a flavorful sagu. The Akki Rotti is another personal favorite and a must-try. While they don’t serve sambar or idli, the rest of the menu more than makes up for it. You’ll also find a great selection of set dosa, veg sandwiches, desserts, and ice creams.
