Curry Leaves is a classic example of many good things put up together. May it be location, service, ambiance, food or drinks. Everything is top notch. It's very rare to find such restaurant in this part of the city.
LOCATION: It's located in the junction just before south end circle where many famous south Indian restaurants are located. Google maps has the exact coordinates and the presence of restaurant resonates through its bright outdoor branding, that you can just miss out.
AMBIANCE: The ambiance changes in each floor. The first floor is family friendly fine dine setup with simple yet elegant decor with a mood lighting. Upholsteries & tables are well placed to accommodate all kinds of groups. Where as second floor is more concentrated towards couples and less numbered crowd who love to spend more time with drinks and conversation. Overall, the ambiance is impressive.
SERVICE: Another wow factor of this restaurant is it's service crew. When I visited the restaurant, the manager took personal care of me and the orders were fulfilled quickly. The stewards are well trained and they have good knowledge about their menu. You can also very well depend on their suggestions.
FOOD: It seems like they have crafted their menu very carefully as the diversity of the menu is quite unique. Usually in this area, you can't find such diversified menu unless you are ready to cough up some extra bucks at renown 4 star restaurants around this area. My dinner experience are as follows; Tomato Dhaniya Shorba: It was good but didn't met my expectation. The spices used were perfect but the sourness wasn't adequate to my liking. Tiranga Paneer: This was the first starter to arrive and I was really impressed by this dish. The quality of paneer was good and the marination was done right with right amount of spices. Corn Tikki: Another starter which made me to forget my diet. The mashed corn was still juicy from inside while the outer part was perfectly crispy. This is a must try dish in here. Veg Spring Roll: I loved this dish as the veggies were perfectly cooked and the roll was made out of perfect ingredients. The presentation of this dish itself was mouthwatering. Deewani Handi: I ordered this by the recommendation of manager and it didn't disappointed me. The spice level was as per my liking and the veggies in it felt fresh. It was a good combination with butter naan. I do recommend this dish too.
DRINKS: At the beginning I ordered Mocktail Midsummer Dream, the mix was good but the sweet syrup was too much to handle. Later on the recommendation of Manager I ordered Pudina Khatta Meeta and it was brilliant. The taste just energies you from inside and if feels so awesome. A perfect desi drink which I highly recommend at this place.
DESSERT: I has a gud bud as the desert and it was good. Though I feel they could have used more dry fruits, the ice cream used in it was of good quality. A perfect way to end your dining.
EVERYTHING ELSE: The restaurant was spotless and the hygiene was well maintained. Compared to other similar restaurants in the area, price is really nominal and I feel every penny has been justified with the great quality. They do accept all kinds of cards. Parking of two wheelers wouldn't be a problem but 4 wheeler parking is bit difficult around this place. They do have lift facility.
FINAL VERDICT: A perfect restaurant for both family and private...

This lovely restaurant is located in Basavanagudi and is very close to Hotel Vybhava. Curry leaves truly justifies its name, Located on second floor, this restaurant offers great varieties of seafood appetizers & is a haven for non vegetarians. Colourful lightings are very inviting and staffs were courteous. Coming to food, some of the dishes were well presented and I was sold without even having to taste anything. Curry leaves is definitely a preferred place if you want to go for a meal with your friends and family.

This is the second Curry Leaves hotel started recently at Basavanagudi, Bangalore. The ambience of this place is better than the old one at the Jayanagar. You can enjoy the tasty and spicy Non-veg food with drinks.
Price is reasonable & the food quality is good. Excellent food , excellent service & very good value for money....
Read moreLocated in old Bangalore-Basavanagudi....one of the most required space to be filled up in this area as the particular segment of mid range decent bar with restaurant was scarce here and has been addressed.
The ground floor comprises of a bar where people drink across the counter and resembles a country bar,the second floor is a pretty decent with AC and is apt for family dining and having Cocktails and the third floor is a Smoking zone as good as the second floor on ambience.
The ambience is done well with a TV for the sports enthusiasts.
The Service has to be improved here with times the servers are feeling lost.
