Dum Pukht at ITC Windsor is a celebration of royal Indian culinary heritage, and the experience begins the moment you step in. Nestled within the grandeur of the ITC property, the restaurant transports you to an era of Maharaja-style opulence. The interiors exude old-world charm—ornate walls adorned with regal portraits, plush seating, rich drapes, and elegant cutlery all reflect a keen attention to detail and luxury. Even small touches like embroidered hand towels and vintage crockery elevate the ambiance.
Coming to the food—true to its legacy, Dum Pukht focuses on slow-cooked, rich Awadhi cuisine. The wait time is considerable (around 30–45 minutes), especially for a large group like ours (15 people), but it’s understandable as the food is prepared fresh and with care. The flavors are distinctly refined, layered, and unlike what you’d find at a every regular dining restaurant. Every dish feels special and indulgent.
One aspect that could use improvement is the service attentiveness. While the staff was polite and professional, we had to repeatedly ask for basic sides like onions, chutneys, and accompaniments—which slightly took away from an otherwise seamless luxury dining experience.
Overall, Dum Pukht is a great place to savor an immersive fine dining experience rooted in culinary tradition. Go with time and appetite—it’s worth it for a taste of...
Read moreI had the privilege of being served by Mr. Penchalaiah and Mr. Ningaraj during lunch at Dum Pukht, ITC Windsor, Bengaluru, and I must say the experience was nothing short of exceptional.
In a world where service is often rushed or forgetful, these two gentlemen embody what true hospitality stands for. Their attention to detail, patience, and genuine ability to listen made the entire dining experience memorable. Every small request was anticipated and addressed with warmth, and nothing felt transactional—it was personal, thoughtful, and world-class.
The hallmark of great service is not just efficiency but the art of making a guest feel truly cared for, and that is exactly what Mr. Penchalaiah and Mr. Ningaraj delivered. From the way they guided us through the menu, to the way they noticed the finer details at the table without us having to ask, everything was handled with quiet excellence.
ITC is fortunate to have professionals of this caliber—people who elevate dining into an experience and remind you why service, when done right, is as important as the food itself.
If there were more servers like them, dining everywhere would be unforgettable. Dum Pukht is already known for its regal cuisine, but with service like this, it truly becomes an occasion...
Read moreVisited Dum Pukht at ITC Windsor on a Tuesday and was extremely disappointed. The food was overly sweet due to excessive use of attar, lacking the balance and richness expected from a reputed Mughlai restaurant. For a better experience, I recommend ITC Maratha in Mumbai or ITC Maurya in Delhi.
The service was poor. Staff were inattentive and it took 15 minutes just to get water and menus. Dishes were placed on the table without explanation, and the timing was completely off. Curries arrived well before the breads and were cold by the time we ate. There were also multiple errors in the order.
It took another 15 minutes and several reminders to receive the bill, and even longer for a printed copy. This level of inefficiency is surprising for a property like ITC. The ambience was equally underwhelming. The room was uncomfortably cold with no music. Guests were putting on jackets.
The next day, I received around 15 unsolicited calls and WhatsApp messages from ITC trying to sell their membership, even after I declined. Blocking one number didn’t stop the calls. Overall, a disappointing experience. I will not...
