Read moreHi, I visited Haldiram's HSR Layout yesterday, had a simply superb, delicious and enjoyable experience ever after a long time at Bangalore. Every food item was very effective from tiffin to lunches and snacks. The chutney and sambar in idly and other varieties of Dosa was seriously classic and seemed to of superior quality and taste comparatively to any other restaurants. Also, no mention regarding Raj Kachori, Rajma rice, Dal Makhani and Pau Bhaji, these items are by default awesome as expected. Only thing was Chole Bhature did not taste that well as per the standard expected, so please look into that regard. Apart from all this, I found there were many people for service, chef's as well, and feel that service people are not required rather keeping a choice of self service and allowing all the service people to concentrate in the food preparation to serve food faster will be more better at that place to avoid disturbance and enable convenience in all aspects. Coming to the snacks: Samosa, Pastry, and sweets were tasty enough but I did not find Cutlets, Mal Pua, and other sweets & snacks which are very famous at Haldiram's Delhi and Nagpur. Expecting it to back here too ! . Finally , coming to the prices of food, initially I felt it was high but it is worth it due to no compromise in the quality of food. This is what, is required in a high society i.e., quality matters and hope people join hands in encouraging for its taste, Qualitativeness and maintenance.
Overall, Haldiram's follow a very healthy, tasty and unique style of food preparation and hope it continuous forever.

Read moreHaving been to Haldiram’s in Delhi and Gurgaon and after having some really excellent experiences, I was hoping for the same from the HSR layout branch too. I couldn’t get a table due to long wait times in the initial months but finally managed to dine there on the weekend.
The overall ambience of the cafe is nice with a food court on the top floor and the sweets/savouries shop on the ground floor which is neat and clean, extremely hygienic. But the taste was not upto the mark, or it was not similar to the standards set by Haldiram’s in the north especially for the north indian dishes.
Cost for two - INR 500
What we tried:
Chole Bhature - I absolutely love chole bhature and I cannot handle my disappointment when I am served chole bhature which is not that great. The chole size was very small, it had more gravy and was light brown in colour which is in stark contrast to the dark and thick, masala laden chole in Haldiram’s in other cities.
Pav Bhaji - The Pav Bhaji was decent, but my wife loved it so I can’t complain.
Pani Puri - It is the first time I have had pani puri in haldiram’s and I am not a big fan of fancy pani puri to be honest, so it was an average experience for me. I am sure people looking for hygienic pani puri would have a really great time at Haldiram’s, unfortunately, it was not for me.
The overall food was decent if you remove the brand name Haldiram’s from it, but when you are at an iconic food brand, you expect better quality and at least authentic dishes as you are...
