While I have not eaten at this place, I have rated it high because I've watched the plates of food on other tables, and they're worth the high rating.
Service exceeds excellence here - waiters are very quick with bringing you back your drinks, check on your table before you do and you seriously can sit back, enjoy worry free without feeling a need to complain about anything small or big.
The atmosphere - I visited Happy Brew when Mannat The Band was playing, so the live music night was extremely engaging, followed by DJ night too which was again great. It's not just your typical bollywood songs but a fusion of bollywood and English music to fuel your nostalgia and the DJ mix is way better than most pubs for your night of clubbing.
I will say they sure know to give you a great time, worth the money and time. The place is pretty spacious and the crowd that comes here is going to be great too - no messes of any sort.
It's not to be picked if you're on a budget because for a party of two, who ordered absolutely no starters or food, and only had 3-4, drinks each (cocktail and whiskey on the rocks), the bill came close to 6-7k. So pick this place of there's live music by a good band and you've a special occasion to celebrate or maybe if you just want a great time and wanna spend your money anyway! Of all the other pubs on the same street, this place was reviewed the best in terms of food, ambience, vibe for dancing, and service, and I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH IT MYSELF!
I would probably add that there is only one male and one female restroom, which when is occupied gets locked so if someone just wants to wash their hands or face of check the mirror, has to wait until the last person comes out. This was not much of a concern for me but it can be testing for some especially when there are long wait times with more people wanting to use the washroom. This is the only downside but again, not that big of a deal! Because the one washroom was maintained...
Read moreI had been hearing a lot about happy brew and i finally decided to go there along with a friend of mine. It was Martin D Souza who was playing today and i was quite enjoying the vibe and music there.
We had been wanting to dance but sadly, they charged us 1000 cover charge each and did not even allow us in the dance floor saying only couple allowed. In front of us, we saw the bodyguard who was managing the entry allowed the girls to enter but were stopping us when we even paid for our share and wanted to enjoy the music among ourselves. I noticed that he first said the girls no as well then sneakily allowed them to enter. Such discrimination is not acceptable. We were not even given a simple table forget a chair to just have a sheesha. They said you can't have the sheesha in bar as well. We were left with no choice but to order drink and food.
I was quite disappointed as we as patrons came to enjoy the pub experience but it felt like we were ripped off for nothing. I would not recommend neither come here again because of sheer negligence towards customers. We had to share our drink and eat our food all by taking the plate on our hands and nobody bothered. If there were such rules, please inform the customers before hand before extracting money out of their pockets. People do come to dance floor to dance as well.
I have never ever faced such kind of discrimination in Bangalore ever. They should have told us before we were entering the pub and this is sheer cheating the customers and ripping off their pockets.
Absolutely disgusting behaviour and hospitality.
If you're reading my review, management and organizers, please take note of this and ensure no future customers face such unnecessary harassment like we did. We had come to enjoy ourselves and the vibe of the place. But happy brew is indeed sad and...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst place I’ve ever been to. Happy Brew Bar & Kitchen is a complete disaster when it comes to hospitality. They promote events on Instagram with claims like “free entry for females and couples,” but when you get there, they demand cover charges. The lady at the entrance was shockingly rude, and when we showed our reservation for three people, she tried to shove us at a table for two—despite the place being empty. She blatantly lied about the other tables being reserved, and surprise, no one ever came to claim them.
To make things worse, people at the next table started smoking. As non-smokers, we requested a table in a non-smoking area, only to be told by that rude staff member that the entire place is a smoking zone. Her solution? Shove us closer to the bar where EVERYONE was smoking. Multiple requests to move were met with a cold, “IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, YOU CAN LEAVE".
WHAT EXACTLY ARE WE PAYING FOR? THIS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE??
The cherry on this awful experience was their so-called “Sufi Night.” Advertised to start at 9:00 or 9:30 PM, it didn’t begin until after 10:00 PM. And forget about enjoying it—what should have been a soulful event turned into an unbearable experience in their smoky, mismanaged space.
Hospitality is supposed to be about creating a good guest experience, but this place knows nothing about treating customers with respect. They’re all about making money and don’t care about basic etiquette or professionalism. Avoid this place if you value your time,...
