Really great value especially depending on how you want to experience the city. Koramangala is the heart of the city especially in terms of the night life. Empire is literally next to all the restaurants, bars and clubs. Unfortunately I visited during the weekday and the action was quite limited but still poppin. Do note, the entire area is pretty quiet and dead during the morning.
Before I checked in, an employee showed me the luxury and deluxe rooms. There wasn't too much of a difference between the 2 so I chose deluxe. I stayed for 2 nights for 5000 rupees which was affordable for me. The staff here are incredibly courteous and go out of their way to help.
Each day I was provided with 2 medium size Bisleri bottles and the room was tidied by house keeping. The room itself had a fan and AC and tons of varied types of lighting which were great. I needed extra toilet paper and the staff were so prompt and immediately brought it to my room. The beds and tons of provided pillows were incredibly comfortable and I slept like a baby. Forum Mall is also 10 mins away on foot!
Some things I think can be improved: dirty sheets in the stairway is unappealing. I prefer to walk instead of using the elevator and seeing so many sheets laid across the staircases is low key nasty not that it bothered me. The breakfast is so mid, I can't eat spicy and am vegan so my only options were bread, watermelon and chicory coffee. The blankets and bed covers have a lot of small holes in them!!! The noise cancellation could be improved from both the hallways and bathroom. Lastly, I saw that there was a balcony but according to the note due to some local regulation they've sealed off the balcony so we have no access.
Overall, if you're looking to crash or enjoy nights out in the city, this is a fantastic place and good value. Otherwise maybe not, but for me this worked out well and I had a...
Read moreTo be honest it is value for money for the facilities it provides and for what the hotel is and to be honest I liked it for it’s location like there are so many good places nearby like entertainment , dining ,exercise ,shopping transportation connectivity then I liked that the room came with tea , coffee ,2 bottles of water , room service , food delivered to you whenever you order then we had a very old but extremely powerful air conditioner but the switch boards were working but some of the screws were loose on one end and the customer service was not something I would enjoy that much because my 15 year old son was treated badly even though he was normal because the main receptionist was just so rude to him but not to me like he was going out after placing an order but before he could go out the receptionist in a very rude voice said just go back so I did not like that but otherwise it is...
Read moreEven though the name has International, the Empire Hotel is no way an International hotel.
They lack the primary responsibility to their customers i.e. providing good service. The rooms are descent but are filled with strange smell every time you enter the room. Later realized its next to a garbage dumping site.
The reception and overall service is none less than pathetic. In my current stay, there was constant sound of some maintenance activity, even after requesting multiple times, the activity did not stop, nor they provided me with any alternate arrangement.
The cellular reception is also not proper in the room, so you need to step out or in the attached balcony to talk every time.
Will not recommend to anyone who has a requirement to stay in the room and work.
2 stars only for the housekeeping staff and good hangout...
