Mockaholic — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Mockaholic has been functional for over 10 years now! People living in and around JP Nagar sure know of this pocket friendly bar in the neighborhood. I stumbled upon it on a visit to that part of city. Location wise it is situated next to the dental college and thus the crowd here is mostly young. Coming to the ambience the place is in one word green. Coming from a place of hustle bustle I was pleasantly surprised to see the amount of greenery present in this open air restaurant. Apart from the plants the whole area is beautifully decorated almost giving Shack vibes. The capacity of this place is around 100-150 As the place is comprised of two floors. Now coming to the food this place has a lot of variety to offer. I tried a bunch of Chinese and North Indian cuisines near as well as the pizza. Sure are the dishes that I'd definitely recommend everyone to try: ‌•the egg chilli was simply brilliant! It had the right amount of spices,had this typical reddish colour... making the dish easily one of the best dishes that I have tried there. ‌• Chicken lasooni kabab. This dish was recommended by our server and rightfully so. The chicken pieces were succulent, filled with spices, it had a beautiful aftertaste and almost melted in one's mouth. ‌• Chicken tangdi kabab was brilliant too, well cooked and well marinated. ‌• which write the simple margherita pizza which was topped with oodles of cheese and tasted amazing. ‌• hot chocolate fudge order for dessert came in a sizzler plate and the server put the Chocolate sauce on the brownie and ice cream after I got it to the table which made us want to eat it even more. For drinks we tried the bear which is very very reasonable your and a couple of mocktails mainly the peach iced tea and the green apple mocktail. Both which came in simple glassware but tasted nice and refreshing. The place has hookah available too. Even though I did not try it I saw multiple people in other tables give it a try. Do you sp of this place is how it's tailor made for college crowd to make it a pocket friendly affair. The food is good and extremely reasonable, the beer is cheap and one also gets to experience foot tapping music as well as a chill ambience. The manager is extremely polite and makes it a point to go up and speak to customers on each table personally. A quaint place with simple greenery & sober interiors. The creepers & plants uplifts the whole ambience.It has ample seating area both in ground & first floor. What I liked the most is they are updated with the current situation and added separators in between each table as a covid precaution. They even have a garden seating area too.

So their USP is beer 🍺. They have a lot of varieties of beer like beera, budwiser, hoegarden, kingfisher etc. All the tap are beers 🍻 flow right in the glass & they taste yum 😋

Coming to the food, they were excellent with the hospitality & served so much food! Everything tasted good but I would suggest them to update with crockery,cutlery & garnishing. But the taste was delicious & on point. ❤ The menu is quite elaborate and we ordered almost everything, atleast one from each group like number of starters both veg & non veg:

I personally loved the dragon chicken & chicken crispy wanton.. they were lip smaking. The hara bara kabab & hariyali paneer was super. The peneer was super soft & kabab was crispy & yummy! Chilly mushroom, chicken tikka, fish fry all of them were equally good 👍 Finally for the mains it was a sizzler which had very tasty fried rice & curry 🍛 The nan & paneer curry was a feast for veg lovers. At the end it was sizzling brownie & mokoholic special... The desserts ended the whole lunch at an awesome note.

@mockaholic is a cozy, open seating restaurant bar. It serves fresh draught beer, snacks, main course everything. It's located in JP Nagar, Phase 2 opposite to Marenahalli Bus Stop.

The best part is their lush green ambience, it's so warm and pleasing to sit and spend some good quality time. They also have a seating area on the first floor, which gives a little more privacy.

The staff was super friendly and welcomed us with great pleasure. It was really a great experience here, ideal for friendly casual meet-ups.

We couldn't have the main course as we were already struggling to finish up the starters, they are really generous in terms of portion size. The momos were the best part, i generally don't find places which serves good Tibetan Momos but this place really did justice to my favourite snack.

Veg tandoori platter was a bomb, explosion of flavours. The contrast in colours and taste was mesmerizing. Extra credits for their good plating.

Mockaholic Special Sundae, is the best version of the sundae I ever tasted in Bangalore yet. I just can't express how good it was, Choco Brownie Fudge was also good but the Sundae undoubtedly won.
