Went there for lunch.
Food quality: It is good. You would find varities of non veg items here. Chicken Kolhapuri ,Biriyani Rice, Egg/Chicken rolls & Noodles seem to be famous foods here.
Space/Ambience: Small space ,it has total 5 tables inside with 4 chairs to each table.
Cleanliness & Crowd : Cleanliness can be improved ,they have 2 dedicated kitchen. Front one takes care of rolls and chapati etc. Internal one takes care of curries ,biriyani etc. I'd give 2.5 / 5 on Cleanliness.
As said it has 5 tables in total ,so if there are more than 10 people ,it's too much in times like covid.
Other option is to take out food instead dining here.
Payment: Cash and UPI apps like PhonePe / Paytm / Google Pay
Online presence: Yes,these are guys are on Zomato ,not sure about swiggy.
Parking: You can park nearby space though but there is no dedicated parking spot.
**Overall I think they make good food and but working on cleanliness can improve it a lot. Im not talking about cleaning of left over from table but overall look. cooking should be done in a clean manner (in general and because of covid),cooks should wear hand mask.
** Should you try ? Yes ,you can.
Check attached snaps for menu and overall state of this restaurant.
** Update(March 18) They used to have 3 branches but owner said the other two branches has been shut downed during covid.
The shop closes by 11Pm, if you reach late here you'd not get...
Read moreWhy does the restaurant has 'kolkata' in it's name? The food quality had nothing but ONLY SPICES...and a lot of SPICES. I ordered- veg fried rice, egg fried rice and kadai chicken from Zomato for dinner. Both the fried rices tasted nothing like the authentic one. Both were full of spices. Kadai chicken....are you kidding me!? Was that kadai chicken? It tasted nothing like conventional kadai chicken. The only flavour I can describe is- EXORBITANTLY SPICY. Lastly, when you cannot cook bengali style food, why have 'kolkata' in your restaurant's name? ** However in the low price, the restaurant had delivered good quantity of food. If you can savor spicy food, you can go for it. But if you are looking for Bengali style cooking, this is definitely...
Read moreIts very rare that you visit an eatery and find out that every dish you ordered is so tasty and a hero on the menu. KKR is one such rare eatery that serves tasty food and at reasonable prices. I've tried almost everything from kebabs to chilli chicken to rolls to fried rice & biryani. I've never had a bad experience. Just one word of advice, if you are a fan of south Indian biryani like ambur, hyderabadi, or donne biryani then don't order the biryani here as the one served here is Kolkata style biryani which is non spicy and pale in color. Some may even find its taste bland or sour. But its an...
