Nestled in the bustling heart of Koramangala, Bengaluru, Magique is a haven for food enthusiasts seeking to indulge in a gastronomic adventure. As a food blogger always on the lookout for unique dining experiences, my visit to Magique was nothing short of enchanting.
Ambiance
Upon entering Magique, I was greeted by an ambiance that perfectly blended chic elegance with a welcoming vibe. The soft lighting and modern decor set a relaxed tone, making it an ideal spot for both romantic dates and casual dinners with friends.
Beverages
My culinary journey at Magique commenced with the Sailors Cola Mocktail, a zesty concoction that invigorated my palate. The tangy essence, with a surprise kick of spice, was an excellent prelude to the evening's symphony of flavors.
Transitioning to a more spirited choice, the Mister JO special cocktail was a testament to the bartender's finesse. Each sip was a harmonious blend, smooth on the tongue, with the liquor's presence gracefully understated, yet confidently asserting its role in the mix.
Starters
The starter menu at Magique is a playground for the taste buds, and I dove right in with the Zatar hummus crispy garlic naan. A delightful twist on the traditional hummus and pita, this dish was a textural masterpiece, with the naan adding a satisfying crunch to the creamy hummus.
The Corn & Cheese bombs were next, and they exploded with flavor, melting in the mouth and leaving a trail of comfort food bliss. The Prawns Dragon roll sushi then took center stage, its classic flavors dancing tantalizingly on my tongue, a true homage to the art of sushi-making.
Not to be overshadowed, the chicken dumplings were a revelation, with each bite encapsulating the perfect balance of flavor and tenderness that one seeks in this beloved dish.
Mains
For the main course, the Pulled chicken tikka taco was a bold fusion that paid off brilliantly. The spiciness and juiciness of the chicken were encased in a soft taco shell, resulting in a dish that was as hearty as it was flavorful.
Dessert
The meal reached its crescendo with the chocolate tres leches dessert, a decadent finale that was both luxurious in taste and generous in portion. It was the kind of dessert that beckons you for one more bite, even when you think you couldn't possibly have another.
Verdict
Magique is more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary experience that bewitches your senses and leaves you under its spell. The innovative menu, the seamless blend of flavors, and the impeccable service make it a gem in Koramangala's vibrant dining scene. Whether you're a local or just passing through Bengaluru, Magique is a destination that should not be missed.

Read moreI regret to say that my experience at Magique in Bangalore was the worst I've ever had. Despite arriving at 9pm and ordering nine drinks, only five were served after repeatedly asking for them for an hour. The remaining drinks were never brought, and after 1.5 hours, we were told they were unavailable. When we ordered more drinks, they took another 20 minutes to arrive. Our starters order, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, was also mishandled. After an hour, we were informed that vegetarian starters were unavailable, and some non-vegetarian starters were also unavailable. Because of that we had to change our order multiple times (more than 5 times they asked us repeat our order), and even then, only one starter was served after two hours of waiting. Some of our group members were left waiting for over 2.5 hours for vegetarian starters, only to be served raw paneer that was inedible. This experience left us frustrated and disappointed, especially since my friends had traveled from another city to visit me.
After asking multiple times, they served us two more non-veg starters, which were excessively spicy and inedible. Despite this, at 11:20 pm, a waiter informed us that it would be the last order they would take. When we inquired about our pending orders, they passed the responsibility among different waiters without resolution. Fed up with the service, we requested the bill and asked them to cancel the remaining items we had ordered three hours earlier. To our dismay, the bill amounted to over 10,000 rupees for just nine drinks and three starters. This exorbitant cost coupled with the abysmal service left us thoroughly disappointed. What's more, this ordeal occurred on a weekday, not even on the weekend. We have no intention of returning to this establishment. Additionally, the seating arrangement was subpar, with shabby chairs and inadequate lighting adding to the unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone; it was the worst dining experience I've ever had. We were left hungry and thoroughly irritated by...
