I went to this place because I was feeling lazy to cook fish at home. Otherwise being Malvani I always prefer to eat traditional food at home. But last time I ate chicken curry and Amboli at this place and which was ok for my taste. So I wanted to try Fish this time. But I am disappointed. My family ordered following things: Malvani Fish Thali : nowhere in Malvan dal and tandoori roti are served in fish Thali. Which is total waste, because tandoori roti you can’t eat with fish curry or prawns sukka. The amount of rice served is so tiny compared to the fish curry and dal. Why they are serving indrayani rice (very sticky rice) in Malvani thali, only the chef will know. Please remove tandoori roti, dal and give one extra Amboli and extra rice instead. They had basa fish fried, that was good
Prawns Tava fry, Anjal / surmai tava fry, pomfret tava fry: quantity was good compared to price. But again couldn’t get that fish taste because of overuse of Masala. If you don’t have appetite for spice be cautious. Solkadhi : whole purpose of solkadhi is to soothe your gut after having spicy food. But here it has sweet and spicy taste (may be excess ginger) so can’t have glass full of it. Again looking at consistency I felt it was made from readymade coconut milk. It doesn’t make justice to authentic solkadhi. Kombadi vade combo : this dish was good. Even if I go there I’ll eat this only. But you should order extra Vada or steamed rice to finish the curry. Amboli also is good. Neer dosa : good
The ambience and service were good. But for Thali it takes a while so be be...

I recently discovered Malvan Tadka in Sahakarnagar, and I'm so glad I did! This unassuming restaurant serves up some of the most authentic and delicious Malvani cuisine I've had outside of Malvan itself.
Ambiance: 4/5
The ambiance is simple and no-frills, with clean tables and chairs. While it may not be fancy, the warm and welcoming staff more than make up for it.
Food: 5/5
The food at Malvan Tadka is outstanding! I ordered the veg thali, which came with a generous serving of flavorful rice, dal, and an assortment of delicious vegetable dishes. The highlights were the batata song, a spicy potato curry, and the val val, a flavorful flatbread.
I also tried the solkadhi, a refreshing coconut milk-based drink that's a staple of Malvani cuisine. It was creamy, tangy, and utterly delicious.

The service at Malvan Tadka is top-notch. The staff are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They're happy to make recommendations and ensure that you have a great dining experience.

Tried malvan cuisine for the first time and I really liked the different variations and rich intense flavour which represents the place well. It has a huge sitting arrangements with mind blowing interior and live music. We tried quite a few items. In starter we had Paneer chatpata- flavourful paneer pieces were tossed into malvan green masala paste. Kaju kothambari vadi, I really like this item. Though it's a deep fried dish but it's light. Murgh Banjara kebab, it's a must try item. Good portion of chicken were served. Each pieces were tender, juicy and flavourful. Also we had delightful chicken tawa fry cooked with red & green masala/ spices. Another signature dish from the house Prawn stuffed Bombel with green masala. And lastly lal mirch paneer tikka and exotic vegetables in hunan sauce. In main course we had Subz Mughlai Matka Biryani. Portion quantity of every dish is good enough for 2 ppl. They even have quite a few varieties of cocktails & mocktails and we choose very refreshing Blue Ocean & Cinderella. Also, one must try Salkadi, it's a cockum & curd based drink very similar to butter milk/ chaas but more flavourful & bit spicy. Worth mentioning about the courtious staffs and the manager Mr. Vinod who served us...
