Visthara - Urban Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Bengaluru

I stayed here for four days while in transit in the month of December 2023. Let me put down the positive aspects The property is new hence the ambience is nice and pleasant. Location is very convenient- just off the NH on Ballary Road about 2 kms from Hebbal junction. Easy access from the service road. Limited parking in the basement but there is also open parking available in a yard right in front of the hotel under security observation. There are three restaurants serving variety of cuisine along with bar. Now to the points where they can do better - assuming this is a new venture and they want to thrive as a business in the long run, hope these points are taken taken up for positive consideration As a walk in customer you are charged more for rooms - while the same rooms are available at much lower rates online! So it would be better if you book online. Rooms are not in good maintained condition- despite the fact that this is a new property. We were allotted a room on the first floor initially, where the light switches were not working. The bed linen was soiled and there was a mushy smell. When this was pointed out to the front desk, they changed the room, however this room was right under the banquet hall and thus continuous noise disturbance. The linen in this room also was used and smelly - it was changed to washed ones after a long wait. This room also had too many mosquitoes inside. A machine with mosquito repellent was provided on request. Both the rooms were congested and poorly lit The ground floor restaurant where breakfast spread is ok, all four days it was same menus and most of the tables are rickety. Breakfast spread is good- food quality average. Most of the staff members are probably freshers and not well trained in various aspects of guest services Response to customer requests take time and reminders to get done They take hundred percent advance payment - hence one has no choice but to accept what they offer Overall not a great option for a...

The staff is pathetic. They don’t care about the guests. We had all senior citizens 70-90 year olds staying and they ensured that: Rooms given on 3rd floor with some steps without railings and no lift access for the last 8-9 steps Loud noises from 4th floor throughout the upper 3rd floor rooms at 12am- 3am it stopped after I complained and again started at 5am. Bathroom was dirty, there was soiled tissues in dustbin and soiled towels The front desk talks rules like they do everything perfectly and show so much attitude when we requested just 1 hour of additional checkout time as one of our 90 year old grandpa was feeling unwell and took time to get ready. We had 2 rooms that day and requested to hold just 1 and the lady in front desk was so rude and inconsiderate of the situation. The manager then intervened and sorted it for us.

Have had a few visits here and I've stayed for a week per visit. The hotel staff is fine. Not great, just fine. Have had several incidents where they try to extract money from your pockets due to their mismanagement. I believe the layout/orientation/arrangements in the room with respect to what's where could have been a lot better. The hotel also offers a couple of restaurants alongwith a rooftop bar & restaurant which has great food, by the way.

It's barely a 100m from the highway that leads into the Bangalore City and the connectivity is great.
