I’m generally not a fan of buffet meals as I feel they offer substandard mass-produced food, forcing the person to eat more just because they have paid a bomb. But one fine Sunday visit to Melange for their Bingo Brunch completely changed my perspective on buffets! Located on the first floor of Radisson Blu on Outer Ring Road, Marathahalli, this place is now going to be my first choice for buffets any day!

SHORT REVIEW: This is by far the biggest buffet spread in all of Bangalore. It consists of a wide (read never-ending!) range of breads, cheese, salads, juices, mocktails, cold cuts, soups, sushi, ice creams, desserts, pizzas, seafood, chicken, mutton, rice, noodles, chaats, aapam and what not! The list goes on and on! Easily over 250 items on the menu. The best part? The amazingly shocking pricing. At 1500++, this is by far the most VFM buffet you’ll have. Combine it with the BOGO offer on Saturdays, that makes it 750++ per person! On Sundays, they also have a housie-housie/tambola session free for all the diners where you can win vouchers to the restaurants as well as stay at the hotel.

MUST TRY: Basically everything on the menu, as it is a buffet, but a special mention goes to the Papaya and Cranberry Confit Mousse, the Kaffir Lime Ice Cream, the Smoked Tomato Basil Soup with Garlic Croutons, the Aloo Tikki, Cabbage Roll, Candied Walnut Salad, Labneh, Flavoured Butter, Creole Grilled Bhetki, Wheat Tortellini.

LONG REVIEW: If the short review wasn’t long enough, this one’s probably going to be longer. The amount of food present at the Melange buffet is insane, and you’ll easily need 3 to 4 hours to get through everything, that too only if you have a massive appetite. Despite spending about 5 hours there, I couldn’t try more than 45% of what they had to offer, and trust me when I say this, I had quite a lot!

Talking of the ambiance, it’s a well-lit, spacious place which is not overly fancy or off-putting. While it is a formal setup, it does give you a casual relaxed vibe, which is a good thing. The place is almost always packed, so you may wish to get there early. Also, don’t worry, its not just the elite crowd that comes there, so you don’t have to be worried about being fully decked up to come over.

The Tambola session adds to the overall vibe of the place, and there are many prizes such as 1kg Tiramisu Cake, a voucher to dine in at Melange, a voucher to dine in at Shao, a voucher to dine in at Saffron (all the 3 serve different cuisine styles) and the mega prize of a weekend stay at the same Radisson Hotel.

They serve a unique bottled water that comes from Bhutan. Called VEEN STILL, this water comes in a glass bottle which looks akin to a vodka bottle, and costs a whopping 350 rupees per bottle. Don’t be scared however, they do not charge you for this. Side note, they dispose those beautiful bottles, so leave aside your apprehensions and ask them if you can take a couple of them home, to which they will gladly oblige.

Coming to the service, it was beyond impeccable! The staff were attentive and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. A special mention goes to Nisher, who delighted us with his service. He was so attentive that even when I made a sour face after having a sip of the watermelon ice tea, he immediately came up to me to ask what was wrong.

Now that we’ve spoken of how good everything is, let’s come to what could have been better. The pani puri was average, but then again, who comes to a buffet to gorge on chaats. Next up, the mocktails were a bit of a disappointment. The frozen mojito, their supposed speciality is nothing but a fancier version of a gola, which honestly tasted better when it melted than it was while frozen. The watermelon ice tea was a disaster, but they were quick enough to apologize and offer a fresh replacement.

Overall, I must say I was might satisfied and I’m looking forward to visiting this place again in the near future. Highly recommend!

Melange is undoubtedly one place that every foodie must visit for a lip-smacking dining experience irrespective of the kind you are, be it Vegetarian or Non Vegetarian, they have the best of both worlds to offer .Located on the 2nd flood of Radisson Blu, this place is sprawled over a large area with a sectional live food counter which serves some amazing dishes, each one of which is a must try.I'm glad I went on a gorge on their Sunday Bingo Brunch last week. Playing Bingo for exciting prizes over a brunch, as impressive as it sounds. Who'd not want to win a couple stay at such lavish property with a complimentary breakfast. Excited already?

There's a lot more to it

Melange - Home for One of the Biggest Brunch in Town.

Located on the Outer Ring Road , this Luxury Dining restaurant is part of Radisson Blu Now.... Easy to locate as this property is on the main road itself.

Went for Sunday Brunch where you would see one of the biggest Brunches in Town.. So many varieties of foods to choose from which would make you go confuse & making you wanting to visit more times to explore what see what Melange is to offer .

Having a seating space for around 200 diners, They are extravagant in terms of space & food options. I was informed that they have the back space for corporate events which they use it based on the number of people to match the requirements.

The Spread is so huge & the staff is well trained to attend us through out our brunch. Thanks to the Manager Dig Vijay who explained us the concept behind & made sure everything went well for our table

Few worth mentioning points from my experience as why this is a recommended place :

Being a restaurant located in 5 star Hotel property , Buffet price being 1300+ taxes which came around 1600 .. This is the coolest deal for Brunch.

They also have 1+1 for Buffets on Saturday Lunch & Dinner at 1300+ taxes for two people.. Sweet

For that price , Wide range of food selections include ( apart from the regular buffet)

--Live Counter that caters Chaat counter, Fresh Appams & Stews, Mongolian counter for noodles & rice , breakfast preparations --Sushi Counter --variety of cheese & breads preparation to choose from --Different preparation of Meats in Starters & Main course to choose from--Automatic ham slicer machine which you can operate--One of the biggest dessert options to choose from--Shawarma served to table--Biryani served in small clay pots to suffice the needs of 1 person to taste & enjoy --Drinks counter where in the mocktails that are complimentary in the menu are prepared & can be picked my the diners

#Did i mention that they play Bingo (housie as i call) with the guests , where in the winners get vouchers of around 3k+ for the restaurants in the property & the winner wins Hotel Room stay as the prize.. How cool is that :)

Few of My favorite foods from the menu include

Live Counter : Chicken Shawarma, Bedmi Poori with Kosha Dum Aloo, Charcoal Appam, Fruit Chaat , Blueberry waffles Breads Counter : Mixed Herb Bread, Garlic Bread with different butter spreads & cheese to taste.Starters : King Fish Fry, Mixed Veggies with Orange Sauce, Honey Chilli Potato, Chicken Pizza , Chilli Fish , nachos Main Course : Mutton Biryani served in little clay pots, matar Kheema, Kofta curry Desserts : Blueberry Mousse, Trio of Chocolate Gauetuex, moong dal halwa Ice Cream : Rose Petal flavor Mocktails : Litchi Cooler, Watermelon Virign Mojito , Cucumber Cooler

This is a steal deal ..Will definetly recommended this place & will come...

Playing Bingo for exciting prizes over a brunch, as impressive as it sounds. Who'd not want to win a couple stay at such lavish property with a complimentary breakfast. Excited already? There's a lot more to it <3 Sunday afternoon calls for well done wine concoction to which I was served New York Shower, a superb concoction of Bourbon having Red Wine over the top - perfectly balanced, Kudos to the bartender. So that's how I started off.Talking about the extensive food menu which was so well curated for a Brunch, the place had so much to offer that I'll run out of space here under this window describing my experience, so I'll keep it confined to the best of the best from my palate. * MONGOLIAN CHICKEN from the live kitchen counter was very well done with the veggies along with Basa Fish tossed in the sweet and salty sauce to give it the right flavor. *DELHI CHAAT COUNTER- I cannot resist street food once spotted, so I tried Paapdi Chaat from their counter and that was so far the best chaat I had here in Bengaluru, with those tangy tamarind and mint sauces bringing that significant street style flavor to it, topped with crunchy sev to catalyze the overall taste. Just too good. *CHARCOAL DOSA - As innovative as it sounds, with this concept hitting the trending charts, was a relishing experience trying this one made with batter of charcoal infused so well that it gave it a significant taste, complimented so well with the range of dips/chutneys and sambar Although, I've not been a big time sushi fan but for ones who have a thing for it, I must tell you - You have so much to try because from what I could see, they had a special section with varieties of sushi's. I must mention the commendable quality of service, with all the staff being spot on with everything despite the fact that the whole place was jam-packed, there was not a moment where I felt the service is questionable. For the starters, I tried a couple of dishes including portions of Spring Rolls, Mutton Gilafi, Chicken Tikkas and Crumb Fried Fish. Each one of them was very well done.Once done with the starters, I tried their DUM GHOSHT BIRYANI for the main course which was served in a handi with smoked juicy chicken in the biryani. I've always had a separate appetite for desserts so I made my move to the last section of course which has always been my all-time favorite -DESSERTS <3.Trust me, the dessert section was no less than heaven of desserts for a sugartooth like me with range of truffle pastries, mousse, pies and other little sheer delights.Once again it was  some choice I had to make from the extensive range of options for desserts. Over my trail, I saw varieties of Ice-cream which I was later acknowledged about that all of them are in-house prepared. Not going for the classic flavors, they offered flavors like - Pan, Tender Coconut, Blueberry, Rose Petals and Kaafir Lime. Ambience-5/5 Value for Money-5/5 Food-5/5 Drinks-5/5 Service-5/5
