Food - 5.0 Ambiance - 5.0 Service - 4.5
I had the privilege of getting an invitation for reviewing this newly opened restaurant by trying out all their well cooked dishes for free. So I am thrilled to be writing this review as I've tried almost all of their delicacies. From their short eats menu, I've tried the wedges, the jalapeno cheese balls and the bacon wrapped prawns. The wedges we're well cooked and flavoursome with a bit of crispiness that felt good to munch on and the cheese balls were not overwhelmingly spicy and had a lovely texture to it. The bacon wrapped prawns was next level, I mean the juicy and crunchy bacon wrapped around that perfectly seasoned and mouth watering prawn was by far the best starter on the menu. The spinach and paneer lasgne was very cheesy and delicious and would have been quite filling if I hadn't shared it among my friends. The Special Menu that they had prepared had even better choices among the normal pizzas that they served on their regular menu. Some of the delicacies that I had the opportunity of trying includes - Chaat pizza, pineapple and caramel, prawns chettinadu, carbonara, fried paneer cutlets and the veg ricotta stuffed samosas. They we're all so good that we definitely reordered them maybe twice or thrice. I honestly lost count of how many things I ate. The beverages which you definitely must try are the green apple cooler, orange mint cooler and the fresh lime basil fizz. The virgin mojitos are ok, not that great. Their iced cappuccino is brilliant! But if you want something filling then try the banana honey smoothie. Lastly the desserts. My top 3 choices in desserts would be Chocolate/ Cappuccino mouse Seasonal fresh fruit tarts Berry blast/ white chocolate passion fruit mousse All are really tasty and quick to finish so you will end up getting more of them to satisfy that sweet tooth. The last thing that you must order after eating to your hearts content is the chocolate banana pizza. It is by far the most delicious, chocolatey filled, heavenly pizza that I've ever had for a dessert.
Our waiter was Alam who was very generous and prompt in taking all our orders so I'd like to thank...
Read moreThis is not the first time I'm visiting an outlet of Onesta. They opened one at Marathahalli and it was a great thing for me to get along with friends living close by. We went there in a group on a Sunday evening and spent the whole evening hogging onto the Unlimited meal they had to offer. The rooftop restaurant is well lit, nice interiors and ample seating space for a large crowd and an open kitchen.
We settled down and placed an order for starters and beverages and had to wait till it was served. The starters we ordered included french fries, jalapeno cheese balls, prawns in a blanket, bacon wrapped prawns and fish fingers. When it came to beverages, it included virgin mojito, orange mint cooler, cappuccino, banana honey smoothie and green apple cooler. The beverages were well tasty and cold when served, turned out to be not a good decision as they reduce appetite overall. The starters especially the cheese balls and prawns in a blanket were nice, crispy and juicy overall.
Once we were done with the starters, the choice of pizzas was so extensive that it took us some time to choose. Finally, we ordered a bunch of them that included a farmhouse special pizza, bacon and prawns pizza and a caramelised onion and mushroom pizza. The thin crust pizzas, crispy and juicy. The sauce used it great, not so spicy yet a tinge of spiciness!
To continue, we ordered Penne porcini pasta, Prawns and ricotta ravioli, and a chicken calzone. To wrap up our evening, we had to choose from a range of desserts and ended up choosing one of each. The size of each serving was so small that it was possible to eat two servings of all desserts and still be not full after all! However, too much is too bad!
The overall food quality and quantity is worth the price paid. Also, the staff was very courteous all the time. The person who recorded our orders did goof up a couple of times, but then it was however sorted out easily. Having been to other Onesta outlets in Bangalore, this didn't feel any different. The overall experience...
Read moreA lot needs to be kept in mind while running any outlet successfully! Unfortunately, I didn't feel very comfortable at Onésta, Marathalli. I can list out my bad experience and also tell you about the positives about Onésta! Finding their "Rooftop" diner was really difficult. The elevator wasn't functional, making you climb three floors! And my complaint isn't even with the climb. The climb goes through a gym, with a hoard of stinky dirty shoes all racked up along the stair. This isn't really their fault but I believe the first impression was very bad. The entire roof is theirs, so all tables are evenly spaced. There was no crowd. Yet, we had to wait for like 10 minutes before they handed us their Menu. We asked for drinking water, and unfortunately, till the very end, no water was provided. But enough of bad experience, let's talk about the food! Lasagna. I went there because they were supposed to be serving lasagna! But lasagna was no where to be found.
After all that, I have to say, the food was really great. Let's be happy guys! They won the battle on their final front! I would have tried more stuff but the forthcoming experience had taken away my appetite. The Paneer Tikka was Gorgeous. Next to sizzling hot, this should be a must try. Pizza, their forté, I trust that their pizzas are great, because the Margherita was pretty good. Thin crust. Cheese...
