Visited here for lunch on a weekend and it was quite a bit rush. But we got seat in 5 mins of waiting. Place is clean inspite of the crowd and even washroom is clean.
They serve everything on plantain leaf and we got pappadam served before even we ordered anything. We ordered egg sholay kabab which was really good and the taste of the coating was quite something!! We really loved it. Next we ordered bamboo chicken and that comes inside the bamboo as dum and they open it in front of us to serve it. Chicken was super tender and juicy. Had subtle flavours (no strong masala) and spicy because of the crushed green chillies and red chillies mainly. Loved it too. We ordered 1 nellore chicken biryani and the quantity was enough for 2 as we already had starters. 2 pieces of chicken were there. But the taste was average. Wasn’t really the best I had. They serve 2 sets of gravy and raita for sharing which is quite thoughtful! Then we ordered butter milk and fresh lime soda to end. Lime soda was a bit too sweet and butter milk wasn’t chilled. Asked for ice cubes as it is hot summer day now. But the waiter said they ran out of ice cubes which is strange for such a huge chain and who serve mocktails! Over all the experience was good and would love to try more of their starters. They have wide range of vegetarian dishes even in starters and can’t wait...
Read moreA decent, costly and overrated resturant. Quality and quantity are really decent. But veg meals ~300rs not worthy at all. Suggestion to management: Why you guys prefer beans+carrot fry during weekends? It must be banned in renowned restaurants like nandana. Do you guys really think that people visit to eat these kinds of Fries during weekends??In Telugu people call it as gaddi koora. Since it's an Andhra style, hope u guys know the importance of fry(vepudu). The other day, I went just to escape beans fry at home but cought with boring fry in nandana. Dondakai chutney that's another tragedy. Very less range of varities for a meal Beans fry(ultra boring item) Palak Dhal Dondakai chutney (I bet 70% of people do not like) Rasam & sambar(liked it) Majiga pulusu Curd(v good) and butter milk Payasam with this ending sweet I felt like I visited temple's Annadhanam. A honest answer from management expected, do u guys think these items worth for 300rs? Just touch your heart and respond. Vallet Parking available. Not sure about the space they have. My last suggestion, please and please don't neglect vegetarians and stop cooking ultra boring items such as as beans , cabbage, dondakai, carrot etc. Feel free to contact me for a mouth watering menu instead of least...
Read moreThis is 4th Nandhan I’m visiting in Bangalore. And this is my least favourite of the 4. The place was a total let down on 2 major factors. Prime factor: Cold food- The place served cold rice and Pappu in the first serving. In all the other 3 nandhana the food was piping hot. Managing personnel absence: I had to wait 30 mins till the personnel let the other 3 family who came after us. The personnel who was absent for the first 10mins came and allotted tokens to people however he pleased it was appropriate. Even after me clarifying that we had come ahead of everyone else, as we were seated and rest of them were standing. And he decided to play god and do as he pleased.
I would have ignored the arrogant personnel if the food was good. But the place is an embarrassment. I would prefer travelling 12km more to the nandhana in Marathahalli than come back here. The JP nagar Nandhana was like a 2nd home to us. But this one is far far away from me calling it home. Nandhana management either fix the place or close it. If not you r scaring the reputation what u have built...
