During my recent visit to a restaurant, I was greeted by a pleasant and inviting ambiance that instantly set the mood for a delightful dining experience. The soft lighting, tasteful decor, and comfortable seating arrangements created a cozy atmosphere that I appreciated.
As I perused the menu, I decided to start my meal with a bowl of soup. While the soup was decent, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. The flavors were a bit lackluster and it lacked the depth and richness I usually look for in a good soup. However, the disappointment from the soup quickly dissipated when the starters arrived at the table. They were a true highlight of the meal, packed with flavors and presented beautifully. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness, leaving me craving for more.
Unfortunately, the positive experience took a downward turn when I ordered the triple Schezwan rice. It was an absolute letdown. The rice lacked any semblance of the signature Schezwan spice and flavor that I was anticipating. It was bland and lacked the vibrant combination of spices that this dish is known for. It was disheartening to see such a promising dish fall so short of expectations. Sizzling Brownie gave some Brownie points.
Despite the disappointing triple Schezwan rice, the restaurant's good ambiance and the delightful starters salvaged the overall experience to some extent. The attentive service provided by the staff was also commendable, as they were friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt in catering to our needs.
In conclusion, while the restaurant offered a pleasing ambiance and some tasty starters, the underwhelming soup and terribly executed triple Schezwan rice were significant drawbacks. I hope the establishment takes note of these shortcomings and works on improving the quality of their dishes to provide a consistently satisfying...
Read moreRS Shiv Sagar Restaurant in Commercial Street stands out for the amazing ambiance and food it serves. This vegetarian restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, ranging from South Indian, North Indian, Chinese, and Mexican as well. We took a while to decide what we would want to eat and had a few dishes during our visit to commercial street. The service is prompt, and the ambiance is truly spectacular. We had the following while we were in RS Shiv Sagar restaurant.
The Cheese Pav Bhaji had the perfect buns that one could crave for, the bhaji had a mild spicy and tangy twist, while the cheese was kinda overwhelming though. Would have enjoyed this dish much better without the cheese.
Spring Dosa, based on the spring roll concept, has dosa finely cut into smaller pieces and stuffed with some fresh vegetables. The fillings were fantastic in terms of the taste and the spice, the chutney and sambar that comes along with the dosa are equally good. Highly recommend this if you are in the mood to experiment.
The Dahi Puri was a surprise dhamaka. The thick cold curd sure swept us off our feet, the right amount of chutney and masala, small veggies, and loads of love. Each puri just made us keep wanting for more. Do not miss out on this dish while you dine at RS Shiv Sagar Restaurant.
Filter Coffee, served in the traditional white cup and saucer reminds you of the old Bengaluru days. The coffee was strong and flavorful, the right way to our time at RS Shiv Sagar Restaurant.
Parking is not available in front of the restaurant, park somewhere near commercial street and walk to this place. We were here in the evening so the crowd was very less, but it is bound to be crowded during the rest of the day. You can find them at 5, Narayan Pillai St, off Commercial Street, Tasker Town, Shivaji Nagar, Bengaluru,...

I feel compelled to share my honest experience at RS shivsagar food joint in commercial street. While the primary reason I continue to visit is the delectable food they serve, I must admit that the restaurant consistently falls short when it comes to service and atmosphere.
Let's start with the positives—the taste of the food at RS shivsagar is undeniably commendable. The flavors are rich, and the dishes are prepared with skill. Despite the disappointments I've encountered elsewhere, the quality of the food remains a redeeming factor for this establishment.
Regrettably, the same level of excellence cannot be said for the service. It is disheartening to note that the waiters seem indifferent and inattentive towards the customers. In particular, there is an older gentleman with a bald head who appears to hold a senior position within the restaurant. However, his assumption that he need not be customer-friendly is highly evident.
One of the major issues once you order food here is the extensive waiting time once an order is placed. Be prepared to wait a minimum of 30-40 minutes for dishes to be served. This can be exceptionally frustrating, especially when hunger levels are high.
Despite my repeated disappointments, I have given this hotel multiple second chances primarily because my partner enjoys dining here. Unfortunately, our experiences have consistently fallen short of expectations, mainly due to the service-related...
