Shiv Sagar — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Had been here today for normal evening snacks. And had one of the worst experience ever. You will be unwelcomed by ungrateful waiters and managers as if you are going to take away their peace. Next you would be ignored by waiters or they keep irritating you every now and then to check if you are going to order as if you are eating for free. Next once you decide to order the waiter takes your order as if you are asking his kidney and give you a very cold stare with a cold smirk with a smug face. Then you have to wait for an eternity for your order to be served to you even when there are no customers along. Once the waiters come with the food you will be served as if you owe them money. At the end when you taste the food, for instance we had ordered pav bhaji and coffee, you feel like the taste is mediocre and your taste buds have already rotten due to bad mood. After this comes the next blast, with all this humiliation and misery you see service charge on the bill, which feels like a horror movie with which you just go clueless. To add to your misery they make you sign in that bill if you get the service charge removed as if you are gonna be sentenced for a few hours. You would then vow that you wouldn't ever ever eat at this place like never ever again even if you are starving, instead would go to anywhere else.

Yesterday we had paneer tikka masala here. Oh lord what did I expect and what did I get?

It was not prepared from grilled paneer tikka. Rather raw paneer, capsicum, onions and tomato were just tossed in the spicy gravy. Like that's not what I expected. I'd rather not order speciality dishes at this restaurant.

Please remove all those dishes that your cook doesn't know to prepare and just keep those normal veg kurma, veg curry, manchurian kinda dishes.

We had been there 10 mins earlier than the timings fir the start of birth indian food schedule. They gladly received our order and told us that we will be able to serve only after 7pm as that is when it starts.

We had ordered seekh kebab for starters, not very regretful, but it's not very appetising quantity wise. The kebabs could be a bit thicker, bit as they were made of gram flour, points for that. It also tasted very mud. So I'd suggest try something else for starters.

I think the rotis had a bit of maida in them as they became stretchy over time. And may be that thought we were in an urgent and rolled up The rotis pretty thick without taking time to do them well. It wish next time they focus on quality...

This is a good place for vegetarians and the food tastes really good. You've a lot of variety so be it your grandma asking for dal Khichdi, your nephew asking for Nachos with beans and cheese, pasta, pizza, or your favourite Mexican base foods, you'll mostly find something for all your family members demand. Also the bill won't break your wallet, specially when you are big in number.

What I don't like is how ShivSagar team doesn't allow reservations, block some tables without reason to create a crowded environment and waiting list scenario. They boast about it. I saw last row of tables in the restaurant all blocked since 6 pm all the way till 10pm and nobody was given those tables even when there was long que. So basically it's these guys who create the hype and attract crowd that way.

I usually tell them I want a seat in next 5-10 minutes or I'm going away to another restaurant with all 10 guests, and magically they always find a seat immediately when they realise loss of business. They boast of 2+ hrs waiting on busy days.

I hope they stop it as their food is good enough to do justice and these useless tactics will only drive away potential customers. I have walked away couple times for the way the front desk treats us.

Rest assured, if you do eat here, you'll love the food. I have tried almost every dish during my multiple visits here and hardly few dishes which weren't as per my liking or my...
