Chaayos Cafe at Mantri Mall — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Located on the lower ground floor of the mall and you can't miss it due to the wafting aroma of fresh tea that fills the entire floor and is captivating even to compulsive coffee-drinkers like myself.

The cafe is cosy and would be a great place to relax with some refreshing chai. However, with no power outlets for laptops or walls to block out the outside noise from the mall, people working or on meetings might find it a bit difficult. (We had to shift to the Starbucks upstairs).

The prices are very reasonable compared to CCD or local cafes in the city. Apart from the tea, the snack menu is serviceable but nothing to write home about. Also, it might be sacrilegious to even suggest given their name, but I do wish they served a few more coffee drinks as well (they only have the South Indian filter coffee...

I am honestly shocked and appalled by my experience at Chaayos, Mantri Mall. I ordered a Sulemani Chai, expecting the delicate, refreshing taste that the name promises—but what I got was an utter disaster in a cup. It was tasteless, like someone boiled despair and served it as “tea.” I have never in my life been this insulted by a beverage. It wasn’t just bad—it was offensive. If this is the standard of your chai, I feel genuinely sorry for anyone else who dares to order it. You didn’t just fail—you ruined the very concept of tea. I can’t imagine how a brand that claims to serve quality could allow something this atrocious to leave the kitchen.

This was not tea. This was an existential crisis in liquid form. Please rethink your standards, because right now, serving this is an embarrassment you should...

A Cozy Cup of Delight at Chaayos!

I recently visited Chaayos and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. As a fan of Starbucks, I was skeptical at first, but Chaayos truly holds its own. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing cup of tea.

I ordered the Palak Patta Chaat, which was delicious and flavorful. The tea varieties available are impressive, with something to suit every taste.

While the prices may be on par with Starbucks, I feel that Chaayos offers a unique and authentic experience that's well worth the cost.
