I would rate 4.5 but there is no option to do that. Food is really tasty, we ordered dragon and Philadelphia shushi both had avacado in it but both had such distinct, subtle but tasty flavours really loved both them. We ordered bento meal box. Which was more on rice, soup was really yummy, so were the sides. Coconut delight vegan ramen was subtle and tasty flavours, shiitake mushrooms were giving it really good flavour. Kimchi was chopped small pieces, I prefer whole churchy pieces. Nice cozy interior, good service, nice hosts. We got 15% discount too. Which would be there for few more days since they have recently opened this place. It would be 1500- 2000 for 2 people.
3rd visit:
So I am changing my rating from 5 stars to 3 starts. Reasons- they have Indianised the shushi taste, they put so much mayo inside and outside sushi. Added new last image We compared daily shushi which is 1 street behind this one and sushi’s here. Daily Sushi is hands down better place than this. We ordered volcano and fotumaki, both were bad with a lot of sauce like in picture and the latter was also fried. I would recommend not to order those! We ordered 2 sushi at both the places to compare, the 2 we ordered here had Sriracha sauce overload in both, inside there was one layer of mayo and outside on the plate also they had so much mayonnaise. Soy sauce in daily sushi is darker, but flavour wise it is comparable. Hands down the quality of wasabi and ginger pickle is much much better in daily sushi. Price wise Shoduko comes up better. I do often crave for sushi and warm bowl of Ramyun and this place has options that will quench that. Yesterday I ordered avacado elegance and Naruto ramen. Both were really good. Ramen was with mild shiitake mushrooms flavour and tastes even better when served in the restaurant than ordering at home. These are the reasons for which I have given 3 stars.
Also they have written on the entrance itself that they charge 10% extra for the service, which you know is not a mandate by gov. If you don’t like that then you might feel bad about it. Not that there is something too good about...
Read moreI recently visited Shokudo Restaurant for their Anime Food Fest 2024, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, I was transported into the vibrant and whimsical world of anime. The décor is stunning, with detailed anime-themed decorations that make you feel like you're dining inside your favorite show.
The highlight of my visit was the live sushi-making station. Watching the skilled chefs prepare beautiful and delicious sushi right before my eyes was a treat in itself. The freshness and quality of the ingredients were top-notch, and the sushi tasted as amazing as it looked.
As a dessert lover, I was thrilled with the anime-inspired desserts. Each treat was meticulously crafted and not only looked adorable but also tasted heavenly. My personal favorite was the matcha parfait, which was both refreshing and rich in flavor.
The Naruto Ramen was another standout dish. It’s the ultimate comfort food, just as you'd imagine from watching naruto.
I also tried the Tteokbokki, made from homemade rice cakes. The balance of spice and sweetness was perfect, and the texture of the rice cakes was just right – chewy and delightful.
One thing that really impressed me was their commitment to authenticity. With 80% of the ingredients sourced directly from Japan, Korea, and other parts of Asia, every dish had an authentic taste that made the experience even more special.
The service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure we had everything we needed. The private dining rooms and valet parking added a touch of luxury and convenience to the whole experience.
Overall, Shokudo Restaurant's Anime Food Fest 2024 is a must-visit for anime fans and food lovers alike. The fusion of fantastic food and immersive anime atmosphere makes it a unique and memorable dining experience. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes from their...
Read moreThe first time I visited months back I was very impressed with the food and service. But this second time I visited I was very disappointed as their quality of service has fallen . I ordered a passion fruit iced tea and confirmed while ordering to the male waiter yet I was served wrong drink and then they were denying that it's not wrong drink. They served me litchi drink and when i refused to accept it they changed it . The color of the first drink was whitish as it was litchi and then the second drink was yellowish which was passion fruit . I ordered passion fruit iced tea which clearly mentioned with orange slice but the first drink was served with a lemon wedge and that itself was obvious that it wasn't what I ordered and then they said they don't have orange slice so kept lemon on glass. On tasting it was clearly litchi not passion fruit yet they denied . I did not like that they messed up the order and yet they are lying from their teeth. The sushi was good and main course bento box was ok as the taste is not something which will please Indian palette however it was ok . But the waterchestnut coconut milk dessert was again a big disappointment as it was not chilled and was served at a room temperature which made the dessert very much unenjoyable . I was quite put off in any case that I didn't care at the end much to tell them to change and get proper dessert . They took very long to serve beverage and sushi and plus gave the wrong drink n then denying which left a very bad impression and bad experience so next time I would give it a miss whenever wanting to eat...
