A friend took me to this place on a weekday afternoon-it happened to be a holiday, so we were lucky to beat the usual rush. He had hyped it up quite a bit, so my expectations were high going in. I’m happy to say, this place absolutely delivered.
At naati-style spots like this, we usually go all in and order the top-selling dishes to get the full experience, and that’s exactly what we did here. We tried the Biryani, Thale Mamsa, Boti Gojju, a couple of mutton preparations, Chicken Pepper Fry, and a few other items. Honestly, everything was superb.
The biryani had a subtle, balanced flavour-not overly spicy, just perfectly seasoned. The Boti Gojju and the mutton dishes were flavorful, and comforting. The chicken was a standout too-perfectly cooked, tender enough to fall off the bone yet still firm and juicy.
But the true highlight for me was the Thale Mamsa. Without a doubt, it’s the best I’ve had anywhere. Rich, bold, and packed with flavor-it’s the kind of dish that makes you want to come back just for another taste.
All in all, this place is definitely underrated and deserves more attention. If you're a fan of authentic naati-style non-veg, it’s...
Read moreAmazing place to have some authentic Nati style non vegetarian food. On par with Aditya Nati Style restaurant near erstwhile Nandini Theatre but with half the crowd.
The Biryanis are a must have. The rice is flavour packed and delectable. The Mutton Fry is excellent as is the Boti Fry. The chicken fry, dry and chilli are all spicy and delicious. Best had with Ragi Ball, Parotta and biryani rice. Plain rice also available, which is great to enjoy the flavours of the different sherwas provided.
The place has been expanded recently and can seat double the number of customers than before, which makes wait times minimal.
A great place to visit for sumptuous meals, with friends and/or family. The ambience is decent with function over form design.
Highly recommend this place.
Note that this place (to my knowledge) doesn't deliver on Zomato or Swiggy. There's another restaurant by this same name, in 1st Block Rajajinagar which delivers food online but the food is pathetic to say the least. So check the address of the restuarant before...
Read moreThere are many hidden military hotels in Bangalore which serve lip smacking dishes but never get the limelight, and Sri Maruthi Hotel is one such place. I happened to come across this place and wanted to try without a second thought because of it's welcoming menu!
I checked in for an early lunch and started off with Parota with Chilli Chicken. Parota was soft in the middle and little crisp at the edges, just the way I like them. The Chilli Chicken served here is different from the ones you get elsewhere, meat cubes cooked with a lot of chillis & ginger which gave it a pungent aroma and spicy flavor. Military Hotels are known for their Biryani's and this place has a good one to serve, the right amount of spices, well-cooked meat, and rice leaves you wanting for more.
Three cheers to the staff who are always on a check to make the dining a good experience. I'll surely be back for...
