The Irish House has been a favourite hangout for us a year back and I must say in the several visits we have tried their entire menu, with my most loved favourite being their charcoal sliders served with purple potato chips.
So while searching for a catch-up place, a friend mentioned that Irish house has a new menu and so we decided to rekindle our romance with old favourite & ended up in the RMZ Eco World outlet on a fine warm Bengaluru afternoon.
While some of us sat down with a beer to cool off, a few of us eyed the Gin Corner section of the menu. We decided to order from the Community Drinks, which it a large cocktail pitcher that could be shared. After a quick banter we all settled for a Botanical Board, a infused Gin & Tonic pitcher.
The presentation was cool, served in a plant watering can, we choose the Cucumber & Mint, that was refreshing & perfect for the heated summer bangalore is gearing up for.
Another delicious way to Kickstart The Weekend was with the Elder Twist From The gin corner. It is their twist on a classic Gin N Tonic With A Generous Dash Of Gin, A Quick Pour Of Elder Flower Syrup, And Fresh Cucumber Drowned In Tonic Water, Superbly Delish Amazingly Refreshing.
Coming to the food, which was the main focus, we started off the classic nachos, the non fried Baked Buno Nachos, with a generous dollop of salsa, sour cream and a delicious guacamole on top, absolutely loved it, especially the guacamole, perfectly done, creamy good deliciousness.
The mini Mezze I pressed us with a perfectly seasoned & fried falafel with a more firm pita and the most delicious, creamy hummus to elevate both the Mediterranean goodness.
The Skinny chimichurri cottage cheese, has the most amazingly soft yet firm cottage cheese cubes that were well marinated add generously smothered with the parsley and garlic heavy Argentinian deliciousness, it was literally gone in 60 seconds.
How can I visit The Irish House and not have few of my old favourites, I was adamant in ordering their classic Cajun sweet potato fries, that were perfectly made with a delicious three options, but I decided to stick to just the fries, it was so Yumm.
We did order the Chicken melting pot, a fondue platter which had a few versions of chicken, but being a vegetarian that day, I stuck to the beautifully cooked mushrooms and the delicious bread cubes served in the platter. The cheese was just in the right consistency for us to dip our choices, devour and enjoy. I always love the sense of community and sharing a fondue pot bring to the table, especially after a couple of drinks.
For mains we decided to share a Leaky fungii pizza and some Wise fennel parcels, a cheese ravioli drenched in a rosemary sauce.
I must mention the pizza was absolutely fabulous, with delicious array of mushrooms thrown in, while the shiitake provided a beautiful texture, the wild mushrooms brought in that earthy flavour which I absolutely loved, it’s highly recommended from the new menu.
The Wise Fennel parcels came in with their signature charcoal ravioli, though I don’t prefer ravioli drenched in a sauce, this sauce was delicious, flavours of rosemary influencing the dish, but I would have preferred the ravioli with a different filling, maybe, did not become my favourite, after all.
The perfect ending the meal was the Vintage Tiramisu, from the new menu, one hundred percent, homemade flavours, a perfect balance of the biscuits, to the mascarpone, to the coffee hit, though I think it could have used a little more kahlua, it was pure love. Tiramisu can’t get any better, this place deserves a five star just for the Tiramisu, don’t miss it, head here right away.
Overall the Irish pub ambience was a cozy place for our friendly banter, great vibes, friendly staff and great service, amazing drink options, including the entire range of Geist, and their Gin Corner, wow, you gotta try it, soon enough. I have already told my gang we are getting back here soon, for me to try their non-vegetarian options in the new menu, especially the Southern...
Read moreSo this was my fourth visit to The Irish House. They have revamped their entire menu and you have got a variety of options to choose from. Some dishes which impressed me the most can be found in these pics - 🔸Yankee's Messy Tray 🔸Cheese Explosion Burger 🔸Shrimpy Chilli Garlic 🔸Juicy Lucy Sliders 🔸Drunken Waffle Wich ▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️ I don't think Irish House needs any introduction for Bangaloreans. Staying in Whitefield area, I have been to the VR mall outlet multiple times with my colleagues. I absolutely love their happy hours which runs through out the year. The Bellandur outlet got opened couple of months back and since then I wanted to visit this place as I have been hearing about their lovely decor and ambience from everyone who visited the outlet. Finally, I got a chance on a Tuesday evening to experience the beauty and boy, was I surprised. First of all, the area where the pub sits is called The International Bay which is magnificent in itself. Right outside the pub, they have running water falling directly from the roof in vertical lines to a pool below which adds up to the ambience. They have both the outdoor and indoor seating options available. To enjoy the beauty of the Bay, I chose the outdoor area. I started off my order with a Choco n Peanut butter smoothie and the Irish chicken tenders. The smoothie was a blend of chocolate milkshake and peanut butter but I felt the proportion of chocolate was bit improper and ice was overused for which the drink got watery in sometime. The flavour of peanut butter could be felt though and the taste was quite good. The chicken tenders were delectable and went perfectly with the mayo and barbeque dips served with it. The next dishes to arrive were the mini tacos and chicken wings. The tacos were perfectly crispy from outside and the filling was yummy. The chicken wings came along with fries and garnished with cut cucumber pieces. The wings were glazed with hickory barbeque sauce and were quite tender and juicy that melted nicely in the mouth. After done with the starters, I had little space for main course so I decided to go for the beer can roast chicken along with a green appletini. The roast chicken comprised of two big loaves of stout flavoured chicken with roasted potatoes and few veggies. The chicken was perfectly roasted and served an amazing combo with the appletini. For desserts, I wanted to try something different than the regular items so I went for the Irish Riverdance. I never expected the dessert to be so delicious and appetizing in a pub joint. It was a combination of brownies, vanilla icecream, dark chocolate, chocolate truffles and chocolate coated cookies topped with caramel sauce and nuts, all stuffed into a beer mug. This is definitely not recommended for a single person to finish. The icecream and the brownies goes all the way from top to bottom along with the other ingredients adding up flavours. This was undoubtedly the king of the desserts I have ever seen anywhere. Service is prompt and the staff is very humble, decent and knowledgeable of the items they serve. This place is worth visiting...
Read moreNow over the weekend, we decided to visit The Irish House to hang out and have a good time. Located in The International Bay in the RMZ Ecoworld, this place has an alluring ambiance. They have both indoor and outdoor seating arrangement. However, my friend and I decided to sit inside. Their décor is spell-bounding. Whether it is the quirky one-liners on the wall or the barrels adding on to the wall art, this place is among those where you would lose track of time.
Coming to the drinks, love the Sangria, both red and white. Being a vegetarian, I was surprised that they had ample options for our kind too. I must say that I am highly impressed by this.
Moving on to food, we tried:
Classic Falafel Pockets – the falafels were well-cooked, crispy and delicious with a generous spread of hummus and shredded cabbage in the pocket. The tahini mayo was a delight served with the pockets.
Jalapeno and corn Cheese Fritters – I was craving for something cheesy so, based on the suggestion of the person who was waiting our table, we ordered for one of these. These taste heavenly. I have had Jalapeno and Corn Cheese Fritters before but have not come across anything like this so far. The added crunch to that cheesy blend of corn, cheese and finely chopped jalapenos will tickle your taste buds for sure. I am definitely going back to this place just to have these amazing fritters.
Original Italian Spaghetti – Being pasta lovers, we blindly went for the classic spaghetti. Loved it how nicely the spaghetti was tossed in well-prepared sauce of tomatoes, basil and garlic. The goat cheese on top was the exact thing needed to make the pasta perfect.
Dual Chocolate Torte – Served cold, this mouse cake was neither too creamy nor too dry – balanced. The white and dark chocolate mousse layers are the right treat for dessert lovers. Simply gorgeous to look at and sumptuous to satisfy your...
