TL;DR: no charging ports. uncomfortable high chairs. great coffee.
i have been going to Third Waves all over Bangalore for a while now and spent north of a couple lakhs with them over that time. i like their attitude and vibe in general, and the ambience and conveniences they offer to support that attitude. Third Wave is for makers, builders, doers. it's for the laptop-carrying, headphone-toting, coffee-loving founders, founding members, start-up guys, and occasionally, the corporateurs, too. a Third Wave regular is more likely to be caught peering into a screen than into a notebook or a face.
for that target audience, this place disappoints. a lot. while the ambience is great---spacious, airy, sunlit---there are three charging ports in the entire place. three. it's almost like they are saying they will rotate tables no matter how long you want to sit and how much you are willing to spend for that. because how can you sit for long if the screen you are peering into turns off? you can't just peer out the windows for hours at the buildings opposite reflecting your choice to come here. 🤷🏾♂️
add to that the really uncomfortable high chairs at one table and you are left wondering if you were better at Hustle. i have reviewed them, too, in case you want to run a compare. in all honesty, the Almond Croissant was great, and the coffee was terrific, but it has to take more for third wave connoisseurs to come to this Third Wave.
the two of us that tried this new Third Wave left the place for Hustle in forty-five minutes, our shortest time-spent ever, wondering if the brand was trying too hard to be cool---see the picture---and smirking at the irony of it. we did this for the five hours we spent at Hustle.
we aren't going back...
Read moreThird Wave Café delivers an exceptional coffee experience, blending top-notch brews with a cozy atmosphere. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by the aroma of freshly ground coffee beans and a warm, inviting vibe.
Their menu offers an impressive selection, ranging from classic espresso-based drinks to innovative signature blends. The Salted Caramel Mocha and the Cold Brew Tonic are standout choices for anyone looking to try something unique. They also cater to non-coffee drinkers with a variety of teas and other beverages.
Food-wise, their all-day breakfast and artisanal desserts complement the coffee perfectly. The Avocado Toast and the Banana Walnut Cake are absolute must-tries. The ingredients are fresh, and the presentation is Instagram-worthy!
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to recommend a brew based on your preferences. The space itself is modern yet cozy, making it perfect for catching up with friends or working remotely.
Overall, Third Wave Café is a haven for coffee lovers and foodies alike. A bit on the pricier side, but the quality and experience make it worthwhile. Highly...
Read moreWent here on a weekday afternoon with a friend. The ambiance is really relaxed and there were a lot of people sitting and doing office work while sipping their favourite brew. That seems to be the norm now. There was no dedicated space available for parking, you can park on the side of the road.
Coming to the good part, we tried a cold brew called cold fashion, la vie en rose and caramel macchiato. Cold fashion is a good option for folks who can't take milk and need a cold black coffee. La vie en rose looked absolutely gorgeous and had a prominent rose essense in it. Order it if you like that kind of flavour profile. Caramel macchiato was a fantastic cold coffee and I absolutely loved it.
In food, we tried the hummus and pita platter. It was absolutely divine, I gobbled down the peri peri hummus. Tandoori chicken pizza was decent. Farmers veg pizza is a nice option to go for as well. Finished off the meal with some double chocolate cake.
Loved my experience here. I was also told they will be launching some new dishes around Christmas, so I would surely visit again. Do visit for some great coffee and food. Totally...
