Din Dan's, a restaurant with a legacy with over 35 years of experience in serving good Chinese food in the Salt Lake area. They are back with a bang and has improved their quality and taste recently. They have maintained their typical packaging cases, red paper boxes with silver foil packets inside. It's a very catchy and easy to carry box. The price and quantity is equated which is very affordable.

I tried a few dishes recently and enjoyed the food. ✓ Crispy dry chilli chicken - Loved this preparation. It's super delicious and worth the money. Diced cube chickens light battered, tossed with onions, chillies and capsicum pieces. It's a must try!! ✓ Crispy dry chilli fried prawn - Medium sized prawns battered and tossed with onions, chillies and capsicum with a strong soy sauce flavour. ✓ Chicken egg fried rice - A traditional Chinese fried rice which is white in colour and superb in taste. Definitely one of the best fried rice you can order in Salt Lake. ✓ American chopsuey (mix) - The chopsuey was very authentically made. Chicken, prawn, egg along with vegetables cooked in rich tomato gravy; served with crispy noodles and fried egg. Loved the preparation, neither too tangy nor too flowy. Loved the consistency of the gravy. Delicious and delectable!!

This is one restaurant from where my parents have been ordering for the past 2 decades, however in the middle somehow lost ordering from the same. But am glad I tried out the food recently and definitely going to order soon again. You can definitely order on Zomato and Swiggy. Do try it and let me know!!

If there was an option to rate this restaurant in negative I would! To start with the food is unseasoned, not flavourful - something that a Chinese restaurant with so called legacy should get right is the chilli chicken- but that too didn’t have any flavour/sauce- it was just fried chicken served. The cantonese noodles had no salt no garlic no flavour, it was bland that we had to leave more than half of it. To top all of that you would expect the owner to be humble, courteous, gracious but the woman was obnoxious. She was shouting and taunting us for a bottle of water! We informed them the the bottle of water kept on the table is sealed-unused and untouched and was where the waiter had kept it in the start so please do not charge that on the bill- but they had already made the bill way back on there rough paper and were forcing us to take it and the lady kept taunting/complaining about this in an irritated way in the background! I can’t tell you how bad this place was!!! NEVER EVER GO TO THIS PLACE! Items were served to us within 2 mins of ordering-seemed like they were already prepared- with the restaurant being empty this showed the food was...

Dandin used to be a great place... Right now am afraid I can't say so... The spoons were dirty and utensils were not washed properly... They have one staff who drops things here and there... They accept only cash... No other facilities... The owner should know how to upgrade the restaurant... It could have been a great place but alas... It lost...
