As the name suggests, Plush 28, has some plush interiors and a very inviting décor. It is located in AD-58 of Salt Lake, Kolkata and one has to climb the stairs to reach the restaurant. The seating arrangement is quite cozy I would say, with enough space between tables. Padded walls and eccentric lighting adorn the ambiance inside. The restaurant is 100% vegetarian and I must say, is a delight when it comes to veg food. We were seated comfortably and the staff were up on their feet right away.
The Plush 28 menu includes Indian, Continental & Chinese cuisines. We started off with some soups, Veg Clear Soup & Minestrone Soup. Both were Excellent and tasted out of this World. Post soups, it was time for some kebabs. The green peas cheese kebab is probably the best kebab of such sorts that I had in a long time. Molten cheese oozing out of the kebab is as delectable as it can get. Highly recommended.
To get our hands on other kebab options, we chose the Plush 28 Kebab Platter and Cheese Fondue. The platter included: • Gupchup Pizza: Gupchup/Puchka (Suji Puchka) stuffed with fillings and topped with cheese. There was nothing too special about it. • Crispy Chilli Baby Corn: Lived up to its name. Very crispy and just the right amount of spice. • Ulte Tawa Malai Kebab: Very somber but tasted great. It was not spicy, rather inclined a bit towards the sweet side. • Paneer Banjara: Another fantastic offering from Plush 28. The paneer was incredibly soft and literally melted in mouth. This is a must try dish. • Cheesy Badami Aloo: For those who love potatoes (Me :P). Just cooked perfectly with tender spices and melted cheese on top. The Cheese Fondue had sautéed broccoli, baby corn, croutons and CHEESE. Yes. Cheese cubes to be dipped in cheese fondue sauce. How cheesy can it be? They have a huge mocktail collection also. You will be spoilt for choice. We tried the good ol’ Soda Shikanji, Ginger Lemon Ice Tea & Fire-on-Ice. All tasted exceptionally well. For dessert, it was Sizzling Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream. The taste was good, but the chocolate sauce was burnt to some extent when it was poured on the hot iron plate. The salad they give (cucumber & carrot) is tossed in lemon juice, jeera powder and salt. I loved it!
I would highly recommend this place for those who love family gatherings and wanting vegetarian food. The staff is polite and very courteous.
Since it is located on the first floor of the building, the only way to access it is through stairs. So wheelchair bound people will not be able to get into this restaurant.

Read moreThe urge for a vegetarian outlet provoked me to visit this place... Ambience is good bt the seating could have been more comfortable...
As per the recommendation from the menu... We ordered a plush special kebab platter which was actually a stress buster... A quirky combination of parmesan potatoes...gupshup pizza...chilly pineapple...peas croquettes...corn kebab..
Potaoes were well cooked to perfection..
Gupshup pizza a fusion dish was agn an entertainer..
In Chilly pineapple ...the fruit was coated with cornflour n fried and cooked in a super spicy tangy gravy...( Big thumbs up)
The peas croquette has a thick cheese cube inside which taste bland and wasnt pleasing at all...
The so simple corn croquette made with dryfruit ...the plush style was actually astounding...
We also ordered mojito....which was the weakest link in ths entire lot...
Mangolian noodles could also have been improved with the right size of the vegetables chopped... Noodles were quite less and vegetables were little too much(plz note i love vegetables though)
Babycorn which we insisted to make it non spicy for our kids was a disaster...as to which they bathe it with ketchup...
We also ordered an Italian sizzler... It was tempting... Pasta cooked to perfection with perfect flavour... Potato wedges with a kind of garlic salsa accompanied it well... A aloo tikki was so so... A few sauteed vegetables was included too...
The order was quick n.span too...
The manager seemed to be very polite and sincere .. He repeatedly kept asking for wellness and made sure that our experience was satisfactory...
All in all full...

Starters :
Corn Tikki - It was coated with bhujia on the exterior and interior was soft and chewy making it great to taste buds.
Chilli Pineapple - It was a different dish I had in a long time. Pineapple coated and fried and sauteed with chilli gravy.
Main course: Penne Pasta - It was a mixed sauce pasta served with garlic bread. Tasted just fine
Lasagne baked - Well layered with stuffing and baked fine, tasted different from other places.
Desserts:
Chocolate Fondue - Chocolate brownie slices and Vanilla cake slices, for dipping in the chocolate fondue, apples, bananas to dunk in chocolate and delicious strawberries to smother in the lush melted chocolate. The chocolate was hot thanks to the burning candle beneath.
The staff here are pretty courteous and service...
