We recently had the pleasure of dining at New Labong Cafe, located in Sector 1, Salt Lake, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. The food quality was top-notch, and the flavors were even better than we expected.
One of the highlights was the Russian cutlet, served with excellent mashed potatoes—a unique and refreshing combination that worked surprisingly well. The crispy tender chicken was another standout, perfectly cooked with a crispy outside and the juiciest chicken inside. Their chicken sausage pizza was packed with flavor and had a perfectly balanced crust and toppings. And the chicken steak, served with a fresh spinach sauce, was simply outstanding—tender, well-seasoned, and the sauce added a whole new layer of taste we didn’t see coming.
To accompany our meal, we ordered a virgin mojito, which was incredibly refreshing with just the right amount of mint and citrus—perfect for cleansing the palate between bites. And to wrap things up, we indulged in their brownie with ice cream. It was the ideal dessert—warm, fudgy brownie paired with creamy vanilla ice cream, making for a comforting and decadent end to the meal.
What made the experience even better was the behavior of the staff. Everyone was polite, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. They made sure we felt welcome and comfortable throughout.
We were genuinely surprised by how some of these familiar dishes tasted so new and exciting here. New Labong Cafe has definitely earned a spot on our list of favorites. Highly...
Read moreWe recently celebrated my father-in-law’s 80th birthday at Labong Cafe in Kolkata, and it was a truly memorable experience. The cafe’s warm ambience was enhanced by thoughtful decorations, making the celebration feel intimate and special. The staff went above and beyond, organizing a delightful magician's show that kept the guests enthralled and entertained.
The menu was well-curated, starting with delicious tandoori chicken momos and American sweet corn, which were perfectly cooked and flavorful. The refreshing Virgin Mojito complemented the starters beautifully. For the main course, the Chelo kebab was tender and packed with flavours, while the caramel pudding served as a perfect sweet ending.
Overall, the service was impeccable, and the staff ensured that every detail was taken care of. Labong Cafe exceeded our expectations, making this milestone celebration truly unforgettable. We would definitely recommend the cafe for family gatherings and special occasions.
We would like to mention that the owners of La Bong Cafe, Mr Nripjeet Mukherjee and his wife Mrs Koyel Mukherjee, planned the entire event with us and were extremely helpful. They gave us suggestions about the menu and helped us to carefully select everything, keeping in mind the preferences and age of the guests. We would like to thank them for their attention to detail and their personal touch which made the event memorable for all of us. Thank you...
Read moreThis cafe is near the Salt lake PNB more. We, friends went there to hang out. Food quality is moderate but food decoration is superb. Chicken scotch egg-🥚 this item looks awesome but taste was moderate, it's actually a boil egg coverd by chicken keema. Chicken Galantine 🐤 - this item was good in taste and decoration. It's a 'must try' item. Chicken sweet corn soup, crispy baby corn🌽, french fry🥔 🍟, noodles🍝 - these items were good. Margaritta pizza 🍪🍕was moderate because the bread of the pizza was not soft. Chicken steak was moderate because the smell of espagonole sauce is not good for us. Fish fry 🐟 was too bad because the fish was not fresh and with a bad smell, We ordered it but couldn't eat it. Chelo kebab was good. The mocktails 🍹 are good in taste. The behaviour of the staff was too good, he was very polite and humble 🤗. They took moderate time for Services. Ambience I don't like because there was no parity of every wall. One wall decorated with spices, another wall with culinary sets. Another wall with painting of Kolkata's heritage places. Another wall hanging some photographs. So there were no such aesthetic aspects. They tried but can't compose...
