Raize the Bar, located opposite to IEM, Management House have started operating from 1st September. Embracing the pandemic and coming back to normal has been the most difficult phase for everyone. But, we are glad that we have accepted the new normal.

With IPL started, if you want to hangout with your pals to experience the live match experience. Go ahead, and make your entry to Raize The Bar, along with some beer and a plethora of appetizers at your disposal.

With all the precautionary measures undertaken, and a very cordial staff service, you will have an enjoyable time here. With temperature check on entrance and sanitizer devices installed, you can keep your worry back home and enjoy your visit here.

With Microbrewery installed, they have a wide section of beer, which you can enjoy. Beers, are light in taste and a must try for all beer fanatics.

Some of the beers that we tried are:- Belgian Lager Rose

Not only that, they have a separate section for private parties and the quirky interiors are must for your Instagram stories. I was invited for a bloggers meet there and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit there.

Some of the items that was presented are:-

Moroccan Cigar Roll: Served with Mayo Dip and sweet Thai Chilly Sauce, this is one of the most moist tender items you can try.

2.Melting Mushrooms: Presented in a quirky funnel, served with Thai Chilly Sauce is a good starter item to have.

Four Cheese Chicken Tikka: Tossed up with cheese, this is one of the most lightest munching delight you will cherish.

Gondhoraj Maachhi Kebab: Simple, yet delectable, Cooked steadily, this is one of most presented dish along with the taste.

Supreme Chicken Roll: Bengalis and Roll's go hand in hand. Our love towards roll is mutual. Chicken is moistly cooked , tasty and extremely lighter.

6.Schezwan Chicken Sizzler: Sizzler is love and one of the dishes, people of all ages love. Adequate for one person and presentation top notch.

Gondhoraj Murgh: Served with lemon , perfectly fits with beer.

Fried Ice Cream: Extremely lighter ,and deep fried, this is one of the desserts which perfectly complements your craving for dessert.

They are operating from 11 A.M. to 11 P.M. daily. They also provide Sheesha. Therefore go ahead and enjoy your time there. They are also having amazing discounts for IPL, go ahead and enjoy it.

And please do not forget to wear masks and stay safe...

The staff is annoyingly rude and you pay extremely high prices for services that are literally non-existent. I'll give you a glimpse of my experience.

Entry: I take a seat, ask if the microbrewery is open. The waitor replies, "Sir it is not." But then he goes on and adds an unnecessary and rude, "You should have called before coming". Dude, I just asked you a question, stop making assumptions and giving unsolicited advice.

Had a couple of ultra expensive drinks and went out to take a call. There were more no of attendants standing outside the entry gate than inside, however they refuse to pull open the door for me and decide that it's better to give stares. Considering that it aspires to become an "upcoming" joint for the youth to hangout, they have people who give a flying rat's ass to making the customer happy.

Mid meal: I asked for a coal refill for my hookah. They flatly refused, "Sir we won't refill your coal a 2nd time". When I asked why, they informed me that it's their policy. Now, what I don't like is hidden policies that aren't written anywhere. I called for the restaurant manager when I was told that it isn't a written policy but a policy nonetheless. I was adamant on getting a refill when the waitor replies, "Sir I'll refill if my manager says yes. But the restaurant will not be responsible for any harm to your throat for smoking a burnt hookah".

I decided that I had enough. I called for the manager again and informed the waitor that I'm certainly going to give them a poor raring on Google and Zomato. The waitor flatly replies, "Sir please go ahead. The manager is busy, he won't be able to see you".

I did end up talking to manager who argued with me for a good 20mins before accepting the fact that there were lapses. This happened when I gave him a lesson on service management.

If you care, I got a complimentary platter of chocolate brownies and ice-cream for damage control.

I won't recommend this place to anyone. Atleast not if you are going there to have...

Kolkata being the City of Joy has always kept herself ready with something in it for everybody. Food and drinking scene in Kolkata never fail to fascinate an ardent gastronome. Adding to the city's existing gastronomic wonderlands, a few years

back, a new trend hit the drinking culture of Kolkata, when the Microbreweries intervene in the Kolkata Map. The joy of guzzling chilled beer was being revived by new age brewers, and Microbreweries became the latest trend of the city to blow over the party peeps by storm.

One such brewpub (Microbrewery + pub= Brewpub) with a wide selection of crafty booze, great ambience, and finger-licking food is RAIZE the BAR, which is one of the oldest microbreweries in Kolkata.

Located in the midst of the IT hub of Kolkata in Sector V, RAIZE the BAR is a beer lover’s dream destination with an in-house micro-brewery that brews some of the finest premium beer ones can imagine. The concept of craft beer was new when

Microbreweries commenced their journey and since then they are consistently leading the charge towards perfecting it.

The inviting swanky interior puts you in the mood to relax with home-made cold brews with your friends or family while you get lost in the electrifying atmosphere of the place and the see-through glass walls offer you a little sneak peek into the world

of microbrewing. An amazing assortment of food to choose from that will never leave you disappointed or bored.

Suggestions for Food: Green Chilly Chicken, Onion Cup With Lamb And Cheese, Vegetarian Kebab Platter.

Suggestions for Sizzler: RTB Special, Schezwan Chicken, Tuscan Chicken.

Suggestions for Beverages/Beer : English Stout, Premium Lager, Apple Cider, German Wheat, Belgian Wit.

Suggestions for Beertails: Cinnamon Stout, Beergarita, Crafty Sangria.

Suggestions for Mocktails: Lonely Planet, Liberian Peninsula.

Good sizzlers. Chelo kebab was disapponting though - they transformed chelo kebab into a north Indian dish, while it is really from Iran. Peter Cat's chelo kebab uses a very different blend of spices than this. As that's the original chelo kebab, this is not one. The actual kebab parts on the chelo kebab were too salty here, and the rice was very dry. The egg was overdone , yolk became almost solid. There was a mint chutney as accompaniment with the chelo kebab here, and a papad for some reason. So the dish was good as rice with run of the mill north Indian kebabs, just not as a chelo kebab. Portions were enough though. The guava mocktail and virgin pina colada were yummy. Restrooms were clean, although very dimly lit. Don't know whose idea it is to use such a dim light in the path leading to the restroom. There are a couple stairs in the way too. Even though the stairs are marked, it can be a tripping hazard to someone a little tipsy, because even with the marking, they are easy to miss in the almost non existent light there. Again, whose idea is this to put such insufficient lighting in front of the mirror in the restroom? Defeats the purpose of the mirror completely! They can improve the seating arrangement in the dining area as well. The seats that are in front of the window, the "view" seats - I felt they are arranged wrongly. In a table with 4 people, two of them have to sit facing away from the window. Why not rotate the tables by 90 degrees? Then everybody at the table can enjoy the view. Service is good, waiters are well mannered. Nice collection of songs, and the music wasn't deafening, during lunch at least. Food arrived pretty fast too. So along with lots of good things, there are quite a few areas to improve on as well.
