With the arrival of Ma Durga in the earth, Durga Puja - Bengalis'biggest Festival has begun in Kolkata. Kolkata has adorned Ma Durga's homecoming with lights & colorful decorations. Dressed in new clothes thousands of devotees from Bengal & even from outskirts have brought the streets of Kolkata alive.
All these pandal hoppings are incomplete without a scrumptious meal. Specially for the foodie soul of all Bengalis, any celebration is synonymous to a good meal.

Read moreThe restaurant has blossomed ever since I last visited. The menu has got refurbished to include extremely amazing Indian, Oriental and Chinese delicacies. The servers are through with the menu and have an in-depth knowledge of the items served. We left it on the server to try out their best dishes. He suggested the following. • Bharwan Murg Tangri Gulmohar: This was by far the best chicken I had ever laid my hands upon. A very unique dish, where the Chicken legs were “stuffed” with minced chicken. Imagine that. Chicken legs stuffed with chicken. Completely loaded and juicy. A must-try item when here. • Nimbu Wali Mahi Tikka: Another immaculate fish preparation here. Bhetki fish, cooked to perfection, served with salads and a slice of lemon. The fish fillet was so tender that it didn’t need any slicing. So delicate it was. • Murg Tikka Peshawari: This starter was a normal dish where the chicken was marinated properly but the meat was not juicy. A short while after being served, the meat became hard and difficult to slice.
All the starters were presented on a sizzling hot plate.
The mains had me drooling as well. As per his suggestion, we tried the Betki A La Diana. It was a fish preparation, where the meat was baked along with cheese and served with pineapple steamed rice. The aroma of the fish will get you going. Again, the fish was very soft and tender. The rice was cooked perfectly and the added pineapple bits gave a tangy twist to it.
The food here is just immaculate. Very unique dished to be tried out. The Palate cleanser served here before the main course, was diced watermelon with a touch of rock salt and lemon. Another plus here is the subtle ambiance. Couples looking for a romantic evening can surely choose this place as all the tables have candle-light dining. A view from the running French glass windows will let you see the Major Arterial Road of Rajarhat. Patrons sitting on the extreme right can also see flights stooping low for landing at the airport.
This ambiance coupled with stellar service is what one needs in a fine-dining restaurant. I have also tried their buffet during lunch hours and the dishes served here were great as well. A bit pricey for the pocket, but money well...
