A delightful dining experience at Afraa, Patna!
Visited Afraa, Patna recently and had an absolutely wonderful dining experience. The ambience is elegant yet comfortable, with attentive staff and prompt service that truly enhanced the evening.
We ordered quite a spread, and every dish lived up to expectations:
Manchow Soup: A perfect start to the meal — hot, flavorful, and balanced with the right amount of spice. It was hearty and comforting.
Bhatti Murgh Tangri Kebab: The flavors were spot on smoky, well-marinated, and cooked to perfection with that authentic bhatti-style char. The only downside was the portion size just three pieces per order, which felt a bit less compared to the price and quality of the dish.
Achari Paneer Tikka: Absolutely delicious! The paneer was soft and fresh, and the achari flavor was tangy and bold without being overpowering. Easily one of the highlights of the meal.
Patna Bazaar (Mocktail): Refreshing, well-balanced, and beautifully presented a creative local twist that stood out.
Mutton Rogan Josh: Rich, aromatic gravy with tender, juicy mutton pieces. The depth of flavor in the curry was outstanding and paired beautifully with the rotis.
Karahai Mushroom: Another winner the spices were perfectly balanced, and was cooked just right. Robust and satisfying till the last bite.
Overall, Afraa truly delivers on both taste and quality. The presentation, flavor consistency, and service were excellent. If they could slightly improve the portion size of the Bhatti Murgh Tangri Kebab, this would be a flawless dining experience.
Highly recommend this place to anyone in Patna looking for a premium North Indian and Mughlai dining experience with a...
Read moreI recently had the misfortune of dining at Patna , Afraa in City Centre, and I can confidently say it was one of the worst dining experiences of my life. Where do I even begin?
First, the food. Bland, tasteless, and utterly disappointing. It seemed as if the chef had never heard of spices or seasoning. The dishes were so underwhelming that street vendors could probably put this place to shame. The naan was like chewing on cardboard, and the curry was more like a watery soup with some random bits floating in it. How this place has the nerve to call itself a restaurant is beyond me.
The service was equally abysmal. The staff seemed uninterested, inattentive, and borderline rude. They acted as if they were doing us a favor by serving us, rather than treating us like paying customers. Waiting for our food felt like an eternity, and when it finally arrived, it was cold and unappetizing.
The ambiance? If you can call it that. The decor was outdated and the entire place had a grimy, unclean feel to it. It was as if they hadn’t bothered to clean or update anything since the place opened. The chairs were uncomfortable, the tables wobbly, and the lighting was so dim it felt like we were eating in a dungeon.
I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Afraa Restaurant should seriously consider shutting down and moving to the streets; maybe there they could learn a thing or two about real flavor and hospitality from street vendors who actually know what they’re doing.
In short, avoid this place at all costs. Save your money and your taste buds. This is one dining experience you don’t...
Read moreMy recent dining experience at Aafra Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming ambiance that set the tone for the entire evening.
The menu offered a tantalizing array of dishes, each crafted with precision and a commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The diverse selection catered to a range of palates, from traditional favorites to innovative fusion dishes.
I started with the Aafra Special Salad, a vibrant and refreshing mix of flavors that left a lasting impression. For the main course, I opted for the Butter Chicken, and it was a perfect blend of creamy richness and the perfect level of spice. The Tandoori Naan was soft and fluffy, the ideal accompaniment.
What truly stood out, aside from the delectable food, was the impeccable service. The attentive staff ensured that every need was met, offering recommendations and ensuring a seamless dining experience.
The restaurant's cozy and well-designed interior, with dimmed lighting and elegant decor, provided a comfortable atmosphere for an intimate dinner or a special celebration.
To cap off the evening, I indulged in their delectable Gulab Jamun, a sweet ending to a fantastic meal.
Aafra Restaurant is a gem in the culinary scene, and I can't recommend it enough for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. It's a testament to fine dining at its best, where flavors, service, and ambiance come together to create a truly...
