The elegant Indian Restaurant with inviting ambience Saffron – A Top Indian Restaurant in Chandigarh with ambience with beautiful wooden furniture & cushioned seats, warm lighting, a busy show kitchen and a fun interactive counter. The hotel is one of the finest luxury hotels in Chandigarh. Located in the heart of the city, at Sector 35, the property is close to all major shopping hubs and business centre’s and a famous all time favorite destination for many of the Film stars, Politicians and Government Officials. This is Luxury at its finest with the staff ever-ready and delighted to serve you. I recently got a chance to try buffet menu. It is persistent to mention here about the safety measures being taken at Saffron. It starts with a body temperature check at entrance, hand sanitization and checking up of Arogya Setu App status. The best thing is they are going digital in terms of Menu and you will find sanitizer bottles at every table with napkins. Kudos to the arrangement made by Team JW keeping in view the current scenario i.e. Covid 19.

Food: Lavish and cooked to perfection. It started with a welcome drink which was quite refreshing. Moving on too Appetizers made with perfection we had Jaituni Paneer Tikka, Makai Methi Kabab (Highly recommended), Soya Chaap Lazeez (Highly recommended) and Dahi Kabab Roll (Highly recommended). I personally loved their Appetizers very much.

In the main course we had Paneer Pasanda, Phaldhari Kofta, Dal Saffron, Veg Biryani served with Assorted Breads. I really liked their Phaldari Kofta, Kofta balls were soft and mouth melting with rich flavors and creamery gravy. Dal Saffron made to perfection with perfect balance of spices and flavors. Biryani also tasted well.

Moving on to desserts Qubani Ka Meetha and Kesar Pista Kulfi was served. Kesar Pista Kulfi reminded me of my childhood days when we use to rush to street vendor for the dake wali kulfi. Kesar Pista Kulfi was my favorite served with Falooda in the dessert section.

Soya Chaap Lazeez, Dahi Kabab Roll and Phaldhari Kofta were star dishes.

Overall a great place with luxury ambience, great food, friendly & supportive staff. An experience never to forget. Thanks Team Saffron for being a great host!

Was my first visit to their Indian Restaurant. Ambience is good and the seating too. The live music was a plus with the singers giving a real feel to the retro songs. Food taste was very good to say. The chatpate paneer tikke is a must try in starters along with mewe ke kofte in mains. The menu is not very expansive for the vegetarians, with limited 2 options for soups, 4 to 5 options for starters and only 6 to 7 for Mains. Service really is a department where they need to improve upon. The dishes weren't replaced after serving the starters and soup, though I feel they should have been. After being told they replaced the plates but the cutlery was gone along with the side plates. It being a pure authentic Indian restaurant, they should serve the table condiments, which were done only on request. In my opinion, a restaurant inside a 5 star property should look after the finer aspects of servicing and make the customer feel their hospitality, which was lacking on many fronts. For me, it was a very bad experience when I had food in this hotel. I booked a table on valentine's day for the perfect dinner date for my girlfriend. I was too excited about this dinner date but the hotel managment ruined everything. They told me before booking that every table will be decorated with candles, flowers and other things.

But they had not worked on their commitments. Just imagine that you dream a lot about your first candle night dinner but you don't find any candle on your table. I faced this situation and I was like where to hide my face from my girlfriend because I told her that I am taking her to candle night dinner. The table was as simple as it was on normal days. Moreover, the service was too slow. I had to wait for more than 10 minutes after having one snack. They really should stick to their commitments. They have brand goodwill and no one will expect this kind of unprofessionalism from this hotel. They don't have the right to ruin anyone's...
