Spices - Hotel Park Inn — Restaurant in Chandigarh

I went to Spices restaurant for dinner with you my family, including my elderly mother and 4-year-old child. There were a few empty tables. At the entrance, one of the waiters greeted us and said that seating was available for the five of us. However, as he was trying to accommodate us at a table, another waiter intervened—who seemed to be the floor manager (though I’m not sure).

This person flatly refused to seat us, saying that all the tables were reserved for large groups. We also overheard him telling the waiter who was trying to help us that my mother seemed old and fragile, and it would be better to provide seating to a more affluent-looking family.

The food was okayish. Service was also okay okay. Went there on a weekend and had to find the staff to ask for a table rather then them providing us the table. When asked the guy on the reception desk for a vacant table he directed us to directly go to the restaurant and find the staff and ask them. Not at all proactive service on their end.
