Well for reders
A brief history, Tim Horton was a Canadian ice hockey player and the co-founder of the popular Canadian fast-food chain, Tim Hortons. Here's a brief history of Tim Horton:
Early Life: Tim Horton was born on January 12, 1930, in Cochrane, Ontario, Canada. He grew up with a passion for hockey and began his professional career as a defenseman, playing for various teams in the National Hockey League (NHL).
NHL Career: Tim Horton had a successful career in the NHL, primarily known for his time with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was a talented and reliable defenseman, earning the respect of both teammates and opponents.
Entrepreneurial Spirit: While still playing professional hockey, Tim Horton recognized the potential for business outside of sports. In 1964, he and Ron Joyce, a local Hamilton businessman, opened the first Tim Hortons coffee and donut shop in Hamilton, Ontario.
Expansion: The initial Tim Hortons store quickly gained popularity for its coffee and fresh donuts. The brand's commitment to quality and affordability led to rapid expansion. By the time of Tim Horton's tragic death in a car accident in 1974, the chain had grown to several locations.
Legacy: Following Tim Horton's passing, Ron Joyce continued to expand and promote the Tim Hortons brand. The company eventually became an iconic part of Canadian culture, known for its "Double-Double" coffee and "Timbits" donut holes.
International Presence: Tim Hortons expanded beyond Canada's borders and became a part of Restaurant Brands International, which also owns Burger King and Popeyes. Tim Hortons' presence extended to the United States and other countries, making it a global brand.

EDIT 3: The Chandigarh location representative called and promised to investigate the issue. They called back a couple of hours later, saying there was an "IT glitch" in the billing of my order, and I was overcharged. They refunded the excess amount charged. This closes the matter for me, and I am changing the rating from 1-star to 3-star.
EDIT 2: Three days later, I am still waiting for Tim Hortons to respond or attempt to contact me to resolve the issue despite my sharing the contact details with them the same day.
EDIT 1: I shared my contact details with Tim Hortons but have not heard from anyone. Their social media team seems to have a canned response for every critical review, but nothing happens afterward.
Original Review:
I recently visited Tim Hortons in Sector 35, Chandigarh, and my experience was far from satisfactory. The main issues were overcharging and being taken advantage of.
Here's what I ordered for pickup at the counter:
French Vanilla coffee (large): INR 395 Raw Valencia Juice (240 ml): INR 240 6-piece Timbits: INR 99
The total should have been INR 734, or INR 770 with tax.
However, I was charged INR 940 - a substantial overcharge of INR 170.
This situation is more frustrating because I paid through Zomato rather than with cash at the counter, so I wasn't provided with a receipt. I acknowledge that I should have questioned the charge immediately, but I trusted that the amount would be correct. When I got home and analyzed the transaction, I realized the discrepancy.
This experience has left me disappointed in Tim Hortons' business practices. Overcharging customers, whether intentional or not, is unacceptable. It's particularly concerning that no receipt was provided, making it difficult for customers to verify charges on the spot.
I would strongly suggest other customers be vigilant when visiting this Tim...
