Bites and Brew- cafe and Diner (Janakpuri) — Restaurant in Delhi

The cafe looks so inviting from outside; the striking green paint is so pleasing to look at, reminds you of those quaint cafes lined up on the streets of Italy. The food, on the contrary, was a stark contrast to the cute ambience. We ordered strawberry pancakes, mocha and a cappuccino. Pancakes were hard and rubbery, and...cold. It was topped with mixed fruit jam since they probably didn't have strawberries with them at that moment. Sigh This is not how you improvise guys. I'd have really appreciated it if you had informed us of the unavailable items, and perhaps suggested us classic pancakes with honey/maple syrup. One can never go wrong with anything classic. You don't give a kissan mixed fruit jam pancake to your customers in the name of strawberry pancakes. Jeez.

Coffee was average. Nothing extraordinary. It just feels like a buzzkill when you pay so much, and get a homestyle coffee instead.

Presentation of the food was lovely, though. Interiors were also giving romantic vibes. Nice place for couples to chat and chill, no doubt.

Food has to be taken care of. Please. I've been to the Vikaspuri branch, that one had better food. This was a huge let down. I also saw a small rodent scurrying across the floor. I really hope he was a just a visitor and none of his friends dared enter...

I visited a couple of times and it was ok initially decent food, good atmosphere and average service BUT my last visit completely changed my mind.... Because in my last visit I got to know their one unique policy i.e. if they got any big order or party they will kick-out the sitting customers, they will just come with a BILL (without your asking) during / between your food / order... And will say "sir we have a big party so just pay and leave or finish your order quickly and leave".... I have never seen such a shameless act or policy.... No doubt they have a good crowd because it's good location and atmosphere and decent food quality BUT this kind of...

To call this place a hidden gem 💎 is an understatement, you probably won’t expect the culinary delight that awaits you at Bites and Brew. I visited both branches. If i can rate it an 'AK star' i will! Any resemblance with a Michelin star is accidental. Calzzone or Quesadilla veg and non-veg - how soft it was inside; Momos presentation was authentic, taste very pure; Chopsi fried noodles 🍜 crispy and sauce was so fresh with fresh ingredients full of flavours. Everything had a distinct flavour. I also had chicken in cream baked in clay.
