Theobroma Bakery and Cake Shop - Janakpuri, New Delhi — Restaurant in Delhi

We’ve been placing orders from the Janakpuri branch for the last 2 years. Initially, the quality of sweets used to be impeccable and top of the class.

But in the last 5-6 orders over the last 1 year, the quality of the sweets is deteriorating and has become from bad to worse.

Placed an order for three items: Pineapple pastry, Mango pastry and lemon tart today (because I believe in giving a few genuine attempts before giving up on something). Again, to my utter disappointment, all three items did not meet even the basic expectations. The pineapple pastry has no pineapple flavour. The Mango pastry had no mango flavour! The sponge of both these pastries was horrendous- it was dripping wet and did not have body or structure.

The lemon tart, which used to be my favourite, too did not have an iota of lemon flavour in it.

This was my last order with with you guys! Pathetic service...

Outstanding fresh delicious brownies with loads of other bakery options to relish. The place has little cute cafe kinna aura with small seating area and good range of goodies to choose from. A heavenly spinach corn sandwich with coffee or a donut or brownie is all u can relish sitting there chatting with friends. Cup cakes, donuts, sandwiches, brownies and little snack options are great for a evening chitchat. Although could have added more cake options and range to choose from. Needed a few more fresh cakes options but yes the little snacks and coffee options are good. Won't say pocket friendly but yes a must try for a little delicious twists in ur taste buds. Ambience - 4 Value for money - 4 Taste - 4 ( for brownies) Recommended - Fresh choco chips brownies .

It has always been a great experience with Theobroma, BBQ Nation, and many other food chain brands in cities like Mumbai, Nashik, and Vizag.

However, my experience in Delhi has been quite disappointing.

Today, I ordered a Red Velvet cake from Theobroma Janakpuri through Zomato. Unfortunately, it turned out to be just a sugar-coated cake — nothing more. It seemed stale, and only the cream on the top appeared to be fresh.

Theobroma, I sincerely request you: Please don’t let the brand you’ve built with so much passion and trust deteriorate. Please keep inspecting your outlets regularly, especially the busier ones.

I could easily get a similar cake for ₹300 from a local shop, but I chose Theobroma for its reputation and happily spent ₹800.
