Found this place while roaming around the area looking for a cafe. There was no other cafe around and the signage looked promising so I thought why not give the place a try. The entrance is a narrow staircase leading into a small 1st floor cafe as one can expect at a place like Shahpur Jat village. However the inside of cafe brightens up your mood. The place was very clean, the walls and ceiling were in a light shade of yellow and a soft relaxing music was playing in the background. The staff were extremely courteous and soft spoken too. The menu was simple with multiple choices for healthy drinks and small meals. The place emphasized on green and healthy food items and that is when I came to know that going green and healthy eating were also the theme behind the place. Keeping to the ethos of the place I ordered a matcha spice drink with honey and milk and one hummus platter with veggies and mashed potatoes and paneer servings as I was also a little hungry and my partner liked paneer. We also ordered one ground coffee with honey and milk. The place expects you to write down your order and ring a bell for your waiter which was a nice gesture as it allowed you to rest your voice and relax. The dishes were served in a decent time by the chef himself which was a nice gesture and it looked very pleasing. The taste was very soothing and my stomach didn't need to stress itself for accommodating the meal and drink and the food preparation here must be given credit for it. We finished the meal and still having time in hand I ordered one ginger lemon tea to end the order and it was also a pleasure. The drink was extremely smooth the look of it and smell was great and my stomach was enjoying the day even though it got to handle tea the paneer meal and a sip of coffee. That was surely a rare experience at a cafe. The whole staff was extremely helpful and courteous making you feel relaxed and also respecting your privacy and comfort. When leaving I also came to know that the place has a terrace area also. It was also nice but I thought the main cafe goes more in line with the theme of the cafe. Although an open terrace opening into a nice sunshine will do the place some more good I told them. I certainly recommend the place to those visiting here on foot . Driving here is not possible . It is however on a walking distance from panchsheel club area. Great effort by guys running the place. Hope they open more places like this in other parts of...
Read moreA random search on google for best brunch places in delhi helped us reach this small, beautiful and cosy place in shahpur jat. It was a sunday morning and nearly 80% of market was shut, thus we had little trouble navigating our way up the cafe. Ahead of baba jungi house on fashion street are the nondescript circular stairs that lead to the cafe. The place is small but cosy and well laid out. Luckily in our entire duration of dining, no one else came to spoil our peace. Interiors are vibrant and give a goa feel. Outside there's a small garden and should be fun to sit out in winters. Menu was pretty well elaborated and we had lot of breakfast options to choose from. A plate of English breakfast alongwith an extra plate for french toast and some chai was good enough for two people. While english breakfast was good, french toast was just ok. We had eazy diner reservation that helped us save 30% On overall bill. Music was very soothing and since no one was in the cafe, we played our own songs too. We also played a few rounds of jenga. The guy serving us was hemant and he was overall co operative. Reaching shahpur jat is easy but parking there is a pain. Please plan for that. Meal for one over here would cost...
Read moreSo we thought it to be some indoor garden sort of space as the name suggests but it was really a very shady space, definitely not a "cafe" category. I've never seen a cafe like that 😕
The entrance was confusing and made me think twice "should I really get in ?" so a major turn off there.
They tried to give a classic vintage touch but again it did not fit well because everything is quite dilapidated and old worn out in the name of vintage. The white cement dust fell off right at the moment when we entered.
The place is small. If i am not wrong,Only 3 or 4 weirdly fitted tables inside the AC compartment in this summer.
Poor service: They were slightly late. First thing that was served was a drink and we finished waiting for the food and then it arrived.
Taste: Personally to me, it's bland. I've had better and more flavourful white sauce pastas in the same price in the near by cafes. It lacked salt and seasonings. They charged me 90 rupees saying "adding veggies" and they got me mere FEW chunks of broccoli and mushroom. The pizza left alot of white flour dust in our hands.
Being profitable is important I understand but customers money is equally...
