Best chicken fry I have ever had, one the gem in old Delhi. I used to go this place every week when I was in Delhi, I have traveled almost 15/18 states of India but never found anything near to this chicken fry. I tried so many places in Bangalore, Pune, and other places but nothing is near to this. After 5 year I got a chance to visit Delhi again and I went to this place straight from airport. The combination of onion yellow chutney with fry chicken is mouthwatering. While writing this review my mouth is watering.😋😋

This place is gem, located on busy roads of daryaganj crossing, can be located from road the crowd here justifies the taste, they serve daryaganj special fried chicken with a yellow chilli chutney which enhances the taste to double, but there is no proper sitting, one has to eat on the footpath. You can reach here directly from jama masjid metro station.

The best chicken fry you'll find in Old Delhi is here, the crispy and tasty chicken will make you go there again and again. The only issue that you'll face here is of the sitting area, recommending families to go in the car as the sitting area is minimal and not comfortable for families. Kudos.

This is a place which doesn't live up to the hype that's there is. My experience in one word was "horrendous" Firstly to stand there get your order is quite a task. You have people falling over you and probably have to wait for about 30 mins to get your order. Secondly this guy wouldn't cut the chicken into small pieces. He said if I want the chicken to be cut I have to wait. So I had to get the whole friend chicken cut into 2 big pieces. Lastly the chicken was overcooked and wasn't worth eating.

Should you go to this place?

If you are conscious about what you are eating and don't necessarily go for cheap food then this is not the place for you.

If you don't want to chant "Bhaiya 1/2 chicken" 500 times before he listens to you then this is not the place for you.

If you mind people who are drunk falling on you when you are there to place the order then this is not the place for you.

You may go to this place if you don't mind how the chicken is cooked and you know the waiter there who you can tip for delivering the food...

This chicken fry corner is also know as Purani Dukaan. Owner Mr. Shahid serving at this corner since more than 25 years. If you are looking for tastiest fried chicken and fried fish I tell you this corner is must to visit once in a lifetime. Eat with rumali roties or just like that you will find tase amazing. If you have car then you can order & have it by sitting in your car only. Otherwise there is very small area for eating infront of this shop.
