Friends Restaurant — Restaurant in Delhi

This is not only a review, but an update about this Restaurant's present situation.

I have been here twice in the recent past, like a 3 days ago and a week before.

It is prominently visible that the present Cashier Or Manager Or Supervisor, whoever the Front person is presently,

He is such a disappointment when you visit here.

Extremely rude, no sense to talk, no ethics, no hospitality, no control and management at work by this guy.

Both the times i was there, you won't find anyone to take the order for 10-15 minutes, and then he will ignore you and take order from new people coming and won't bother about a customer waiting for long.

If asked he answers rudely, he ended up saying 'roti do aur bhagaao jaldi' in front of his customers. Last time, had seen him shouting at a customer.

Though the food at 'Friends' is reasonably okay, and they are trying to catch up with the pace during COVID times with less manpower, but this Supervisor is a pain...

Today's experience was a horrific degradation of service. Initially, the takeaway order was lost, a 15-minute delay where staff acted as if they didn't know me, even with the receipt. Then, they demanded transaction proof. Eventually, we opted to eat in, ordering 8 tandoori rotis. Instead of serving them in smaller batches, they delivered all at once, leading to cold, hard rotis. While eating, the staff’s behavior worsened, giving us pointed glances as they began aggressively cleaning and closing around us. The cashier, upon receiving our complaints, remained completely silent, refusing to acknowledge their blatant faults. This is a place for the students living around this area. Having said so .... why should the permanent residents of this area be deprived of its goodness. Home style food especially their thali varieties are light yet wholesome. They give you a feeling that you have eaten outside yet, loads up like you had a couple of dishes at home. Their Dal Makhni both in the Thali or seperately is devine. The thali has various options of breads like Roti, Paranthas, Aalo Gobhi or Panèer naans etc. Small place to sit but hiegenic. Try their paneer dishes in the Thali or Paneer Bhurjee separately... at this price...
