I Lived in Germany 15 Years – This Was an Insult to Overnight Oats
I’ve lived 15 years in Germany, where overnight oats are a staple — and I’ve made them enough times to know what good ones taste like. What I got here for ₹350 was a sad, lazy imitation: plain oats dumped in cold milk, with some fruit and a few almond slivers. No chia seeds, no honey, nothing close to what was promised.
The oats weren’t soaked, the texture was raw, the flavor nonexistent. Even the coffee was weak and watery.
I still ate it — because I was hungry, not because it was any good.
Presentation was the only thing they got right. The staff seemed unsure, and the dish reflected that.
